Reflective paint, which could 'save hundreds' of animals from being killed by vehicles, has been put on Dartmoor ponies after a trial was deemed a success.
In September, blue paint was used as a trial - conservationists said it had remained on the animals and reflective beads to create an "alien glow".
Karla McKechnie from the Dartmoor Livestock Protection Society said: "We'll now monitor how long it remains on the animals and the company behind the paint is trying to see whether it can create an even brighter and more durable version."

A murder trial has heard a defendant, accused of stabbing Plymouth builder Tanis Bhandari, threatened another man with a knife minutes before the attack.
William Hickey told Plymouth Crown Court he was walking home from a party with friends when Donald Pemberton, 21 (pictured), and Ryan Williams, 22, confronted them.
Mr Hickley said one approached him and held a knife to his cheek leaving him "completely terrified", then he called 999. Both men deny the charges and the case continues.

The driver of a coach which crashed near Looe, killing two people, has been charged with dangerous driving.
Martin Chun, 59, from Whitestone, near Exeter, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He'll appear in court in January.
The coach crashed on a steep hill at Morval in May 2014.

Devon and Cornwall Police are reviewing their firearms cover following the Paris shootings and bombings.
Chief Supt Jim Nye told the BBC: "We are not going to be putting extra armed officers on the streets in a proactive stance, it's about making sure we have a capacity and a number of armed officers to deploy should an incident occur."

Detailed consultation has begun on plans which could see Newquay Airport used as a test base for some of the largest types of drone flown by both civilian and military operators.
The idea is for the airport and its associated Aerohub, external to offer the land-based facilities necessary for test flights of drones over the sea.
The airport says there's no question of flying armed drones from Newquay.

Some people in the South West could be getting an unusual birthday present this year after South West Water (SWW) sold off 30 disused properties today.
Among the lots across Devon and Cornwall were a sewage pumping station, seven underground water storage tanks and this acre of land on Bodmin Moor.
The SWW head of property and support services Guy Busby said: "Novelty sites with small areas of surplus land always attract strong interest as people are able to invest relatively modest sums for their 'little piece of England'."
The police have named the man who died in Torquay on Monday, sparking a murder investigation.
The body of 36-year-old David Earnshaw was found inside a property on Warberry Road West, external on Monday morning.
Four people were arrested - a man and a woman have been released, a 38-year-old man and a 43-year-old man remain in custody.

The Cornish disaster relief charity Shelterbox says it is "very disappointed" the jury at the trial of its founder Tom Henderson has failed to return a verdict and been discharged after seven days of deliberations.
Tom and John Henderson and Darren Gervis denied conspiracy to commit fraud during the 44 day trial at the Old Bailey. The prosecution has 15 days to decide whether it wants a re-trial.
ShelterBox Chief Executive Alison Wallace said: 'It is very disappointing that these matters have yet to be resolved."

A coach driver has been accused of killing two women who died in a crash while on a day trip to the seaside, police said.
Martin Chun has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and is also accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The 59-year-old, of Whitstone, Exeter, Devon has been released on police bail to appear before East Cornwall Magistrates' Court in Bodmin on January 7.
He was behind the wheel of a coach which crashed on the A387 at Morval, near Looe, Cornwall in May 2014.

The development of Drake's Island off Plymouth could harm a "nationally important" egret population, a bird charity says.
Plymouth City Council is discussing the plans later. The RSPB said it was concerned about "its potential effect on the Tamar estuary little egret population" as the island provided a "safe haven."
Developers previously said there was "no problem" with the planned construction effect on the birds.
Cycling groups in Cornwall claim more needs to be done so riders are safe on the county's roads.
Official figures obtained by BBC show five cyclists died in the last five years, and 89 collisions have occurred in the county between cars and bikes this year alone. Many police reports blamed aggressive driving or the motorist simply not paying attention.
Cornwall Council said it was working with the police and other agencies to deliver road safety awareness for both cyclists and drivers.

A Devon woman leading an awareness campaign about Vauxhall Zafira cars bursting into flames has described what happened when her family's car caught fire in September.
Vauxhall is asking 220,000 Zafira B drivers to arrange for their cars to be inspected by a local dealer.
Sue Freemantle, from Ivybridge, managed to escape with three of her children moments before it burst into flames and said: "Our worst fear is that a child dies. It sends shivers down my spine because it's the one thing I dread to think."
