  1. Travel news for Devon and Cornwallpublished at 08:56

    - There are long delays on the A30 between Scorrier and the Chiverton Cross roundabout - one eastbound lane is closed after a multi-vehicle accident and there is debris on the road, traffic is very slow moving with queues back to Redruth.  

    - The A30 in Pool is busy but moving eastbound near Tolvaddon, also because of an accident.

    - On the M5 around Exeter heading towards Tiverton there is heavy traffic.  

    - Watch out for slow traffic on the A390 in both directions between Chiverton Cross Roundabout and Threemileston due to roadworks.

    - In Devon, there are problems on the A385 westbound in Longcombe between the Glazegate Lane junction and Brutus Bridge Roundabout, also because of roadworks.

    We have a weak weather front crossing the region, bringing mainly cloudy conditions with outbreaks of light and patchy rain or drizzle at times, low cloud and hill fog over the moors.

    As the front moves away, it will be replaced in the west by drier, brighter conditions. Winds will be fresh north westerly, but strong along the north coast and over the moors. Maximum Temperature: 12C (54F).  

  3. Runner Pavey due to receive MBEpublished at 08:35

    Sportswoman Jo Pavey is due to receive her MBE in London later. 

    Pavey became the oldest woman in history to win gold at the European Championships in Zurich last year, winning the 10,000m at the age of 40.

    The Honiton-born long distance runner was appointed an MBE in June in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

  4. Cash to fund anti-radicalisation programmespublished at 08:26

    Local authorities in Cornwall and Devon are to get more funding to identify the children most at risk of being radicalised by extremists. 

    The Home Office-approved counter terror training highlights the dangers of youngsters using the so-called 'dark web' - a hidden part of the internet that cannot be reached via traditional search engines.

    Money will be invested to ensure parental controls are in place.

    - Long tailbacks are reported on the A30 eastbound between Scorrier and Chiverton Cross Roundabout, because of an accident. One lane is closed eastbound. 

    - Near Totnes on the A381 heading towards Harbertonford we've got reports of an accident, traffic is queueing back into Totnes.  

    -  The B3396 Albert Road in Plymouth is partially blocked causing slow traffic near the Devonport Road junction due to an accident.

    - The roadworks at Threemilestone are also causing problems from Chiverton Cross Roundabout heading into Truro. 

    - Watch out for slow traffic on the A381 Bishopsteignton Road in Teignmouth at the A379 Shaldon Bridge junction, because of a traffic light failure. Approach with care.

  6. Tuesday night League Two success for Devonpublished at 08:07

    Devon's League Two sides were in action last night.

    Plymouth Argyle's captain Curtis Nelson snatched a late equaliser to help the League Two leaders draw 1-1 with Leyton Orient.

    Joel Grant and Lee Holmes scored for Exeter City to beat Mansfield 2-0 and give the Grecians their second away win in four days.
