    Amelia Welch, 20, from Axminster in Devon, was partying with friends in Plymouth when she lost her hand, which cost about £3,000.

    The first year Plymouth University marine biology student said she only realised the next morning that the prosthetic had gone missing. 

    She thinks she could have left it in a nightclub and forgot to pick it up.

    The Health and Safety Executive says it's investigating the circumstances around the disappearance of RSPCA Inspector Mike Reid.

    Mr Reid went missing while working on cliffs during a storm two months ago near Land's End. 

    The RSPCA Inspector was checking on stranded birds. His body still hasn't been found.

    Police investigating the sudden death, external of a 25-year-old man in Plymouth are appealing for information.

    Officers were called to Valletort Flats, Stonehouse, at 18:10 on Wednesday 8 June following the discovery of the man’s body inside one of the properties.

    His next of kin has been informed but formal identification has not yet been carried out. Officers are working with the coroner to establish the cause of death and are treating the death as unexplained.

    Glover, 29, will defend her pairs title she won at London 2012 with Heather Stanning.

    “When we are at the Olympics in two months time we hope to put in a performance that reflects the hard work of the last four years since London 2012. I feel ready and excited that it is time to compete at the highest level," Glover said.

    New Plymouth Albion head coach Dan Parkes says he will make sure he sticks to his budget.

    The former prop has taken over from Graham Dawe as head coach, working with former Wigan rugby league player Martin Hall. 

    "The new owners have come in with a fresh broom and we've got a budget that we've got to stick to. The aim is still to go back to the Championship and see how we get along," Parkes told BBC South West.

    BCG vaccines should be "restricted" to human use as a result of a global shortage, the government has said.

    The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) said each badger dose of BCG vaccine equated to 10 adult or 20 infant doses for humans, and the vaccine had to be "responsibly prioritised".

    The shortage has led to the suspension of a project which vaccinated badgers in Cornwall, as part of efforts to tackle the TB crisis affecting farms in the county.

    The Exeter-based airline Flybe has announced pre-tax annual profits of £2.7m compared with a loss of £35.6m the previous year.  

    Saad Hammad, chief executive, who is steering the company through a three-year turnaround plan said: "We delivered top-line growth in a difficult revenue environment, expanding our network and carrying more passengers than last year."

    The company said it had driven down costs and found new uses for its surplus Embraer E195 jets which it described as its "last key legacy issue".

    "As a result of all the action we have taken, Flybe is now a much more resilient business and well positioned for profitable growth," Mr Hammad added.

    Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the gold Volvo used to smash into a pharmacy shop during a raid.

    CCTV footage shows the offender, who was wearing a "Scream" fancy dress mask, ramming the stolen car into Lloyds Pharmacy on Ilfracombe High Street on 21 May.

    Around 20 bottles of perfume were stolen, and police are hoping the footage will help find the offender who remains at large.

    Tory MP Sarah Wollaston has quit the campaign to leave the EU and will vote for Remain instead, she told the BBC.

    Dr Wollaston, chairman of the health select committee, said Vote Leave's claim that Brexit would free up £350m a week for the NHS "simply isn't true".

    Leave campaigners defend the £350m figure, saying it is the UK's gross contribution and any money received back is at EU officials' discretion.  

    MP Priti Patel said Dr Wollaston's decision would not damage the campaign.
