    Badger vaccinations designed to tackle the TB crisis affecting Cornish farms will start again as soon as more vaccines become available, the environment secretary has said.

    "Unfortunately there is a gloal shortage of the vaccine, clearly we have to prioritise human health", Liz Truss said.

    Badgers in West Cornwall were being vaccinated with the BCG jab, also used to protect humans, but the programme has been mothballed due to the shortage.

    Plymouth Albion has appointed Dan Parkes as their new head coach.

    The 40-year-old has spent the past seven years as head coach of National Three South West side Brixham.

    The former prop played for Albion between 2003 and 2005 and also spent time at Exeter Chiefs and Cornish Pirates, as well as playing one game for Bath in 2006. Parkes replaces Graham Dawe, who was sacked in April after the club was taken over by new owners.

    Leave campaigner and former cabinet minister John Redwood says he stands by the Leave team's calculation that £350m could be saved for the NHS if Britain left the EU.

    "There's a gross contribution, and then there's a net contribution which is the money we that could spend on our priorities - we want more jobs and better incomes in the health service in Britain for example", Mr Redwood said.

    The Conservative MP for Totnes Sarah Wollaston has defected from the Leave campaign after claiming the figure of £350m "simply isn't true".

    The number of people killed off the UK coastline in 2015 is the highest since records were first collected in 2011, the RNLI has said.

    Phil Bindon's son, Mike, was lost at sea in 2014, aged 23, after being swept into the water by an unexpected wave at Polzeath in Cornwall.

    Mr Bindon said: "A freak wave caught Mike and swept him into the water. The lifeboats and helicopter were out searching for hours. I just wanted Mike back home.

    "Mike's body has never been found. It breaks my heart. No-one expects to lose a child. An accident like this is a tragedy that I wouldn't want anyone else to go through."

    Mr Bindon added that he wanted people to understand how "dangerously unpredictable" the sea can be.

    The Royal Cornwall Show was founded in Bodmin in 1793 as the Cornwall Agricultural Society.

    Although based in the then county town from 1793 to approximately 1827, competitions were often also held in various other parts of the county. In 1912 it was held in Penzance (see below).

    Early prizes were awarded for a wide range of competitions. These included fat sheep (with live and dead weights being examined), wool, farm carts, sheep shearing, agricultural machinery, turnip growing, bee keeping, cheese making plus, of course, awards for horses, cattle, sheep and pigs.

    Vote Leave has stood by its much-criticised £350m claim, which is on the side of its battle bus.

    The Exeter-based company says it's made a pre-tax profit of £2.7m, with an increase in sales of nearly 9 per cent. 

    The figures come as the company undergoes a three-year restructuring programme.

    A scheme to vaccinate badgers against Bovine TB has been suspended indefinitely because of a global shortage of the BCG vaccine.

    In an email seen by the BBC, the Institute of Zoology (IOZ) said it was unlikely badger vaccines would be available until at least May 2017.

    The IOZ said funding had subsequently been cut for the West Cornwall Badger Vaccination Initiative.

    It had hoped to vaccinate up to 1,000 badgers in the "next few years".
