Panorama goes undercover in two nursing homes in Cornwall and finds evidence of cruelty and neglect.
Reporter Janice Finch booked into the homes as a resident and witnessed staff rushed off their feet, leaving the privacy and dignity of some fellow residents often ignored.
The company, which has a chain of homes in the county, earns millions from NHS and local authority placements and has already been told to make improvements.
An emergency safeguarding plan is now in place after the programme-makers raised their concerns with the Care Quality Commission and other agencies.
There's been a 40% reduction in the number of plastic bags found on Cornwall's beaches, according to the Marine Conservation Society.
It said volunteers cleaned up an average of seven plastic bags for every 100m of coastline this year, down from 11 in 2015.
The charge 5p plastic bags introduced in October last year was though to be partly responsible, the society said.

A woman who died after being hit by a tractor near St Austell has been named by police, external.
Sixty-three-year-old Mrs Christine Dew, from Trelowth, St Austell, died after being struck by the passing tractor last Tuesday.
She had been driving a car thought to be involved in a collision with another car, both of which were on a grass verge near St Mewan, when she and the two cars were struck. She died at the scene.
The tractor driver, a 25-year-old man from Bodmin, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and currently on police bail, officers said.

The South West will lose many of its Conservative MPs unless the government delivers on its pre-election promises, a local MP has warned.
Leading a debate in Parliament, the Tory MP for South West Devon, Gary Streeter, urged ministers to take note of the South West Growth Charter - a plan aimed at boosting prosperity, as well as improving transport, energy and broadband infrastructure.
He said: "In 2020 [at the next scheduled general election], we will be be judged on what we deliver for our region."

A campaign to crack down on drivers using mobile phones has been hailed a success by Devon and Cornwall Police, external.
The week-long campaign called #Don'tRiskIt resulted in 48 drivers being stopped for using a mobile phone, while a further 84 were stopped for speeding - some at more than 95mph.

A business leader in Cornwall has likened the after effects of the South West's storm damage to an economic tsunami, which will need "more than a sticking plaster" to fix.
Almost a month's worth of rain fell in just two days, causing flooding and severe damage to the main rail line in and out of the South West at Cowley Bridge near Exeter.
Ann Vandermeulen, development manager for Cornwall's Federation of Small Businesses, external, said: “Even when the damage is in Devon, Cornwall can get completely cut off, so it’s a massive issue and it needs to be sorted out.
“Every which way you look, there’s a whole economic tsunami that follows the storm – not just the clear up – like the loss of trade and businesses struggling to get insurance... and sadly it needs more than a sticking plaster."

A north Devon hostel for migrant children from the so-called Jungle camp in Calais, which is to close, was always to be a temporary measure, the Home Office has always said.
The children were brought to the hostel, near Great Torrington (pictured), on 24 October. Some 37 vulnerable young people, from Afghanistan, Sudan and Syria, have been resettled, we’ve been told, with the “vast majority” reunited with families in Britain.
It was designed to provide a safe and welcoming base, before the children were moved on to other areas of Britain.
Those children not now with families are still in the care of councils.

Officers were called to a property in Okehampton Road in Exeter, Devon, at about 14:00 on Monday and "discovered the body of an unidentified man".
Devon and Cornwall Police said a 37-year-old local man had been arrested and was awaiting questioning.
Officers have also asked if anyone "had their black rubbish bin stolen recently". Anyone who had a black wheelie bin stolen has been asked to contact officers.

About a third of small businesses in Devon and Cornwall have been affected by severe weather and flooding in recent years, with nearly one in 10 being forced to temporarily cease trading.
According to an infrastructure survey for Cornwall's Federation of Small Businesse, externals the average loss sustained by small businesses was about £4,000 - although 15% of those affected put the cost at more than £10,000.

"It's urgent that we find a solution for the thousands of small firms who struggle to find affordable flood insurance... they shouldn't be forgotten about, national chairman Mike Cherry said.
