One of Plymouth's hidden attractions is due to undergo structural repairs ahead of the Mayflower 400 celebrations.
The city council has set aside £1.4m to repair the house, which was last updated in 1929.
The Mayflower 400 celebrations begin officially in 2020, marking the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrim Fathers' voyage from Plymouth, Devon to Plymouth, Massachusetts.
It is expected the work, which aims to restore the original structure, will lead to road closures in the area in early 2019.
After restoration, the building will reopen as a museum exhibition space.
