BBC News OnlineAll 60 staff affected by the closure of Marks & Spencer's Falmouth store will be offered jobs in nearby branches, bosses say.
M&S confirmed this morning that the doors of its Market Street shop would shut for good when the lease expired next year.
It follows the announcement last month that the company plans to shut 14 of its branches due to a rise in business rates and staff costs.
The retailer said the Falmouth closure was "a difficult but necessary decision".

13:09 GMT 27 February 2018The A30 remains closed in both directions after a crash between a small van and a tractor with a trailer carrying livestock just before 10:00 on the westbound carriageway.
One of the men involved in the crash is believed to have possibly suffered life-threatening injuries according to police.
Robert Butler was caught up in the road closure and took the pictures below.

BBC News OnlineMarks & Spencer has confirmed its Falmouth store will close when the lease expires next year.
It follows the announcement last month that M&S plans to shut 14 of its branches due to a rise in business rates and staff costs.
John Dorrington, head of south west for Marks & Spencer, said it was "a difficult but necessary decision" and thanked "the local community and our customers for the feedback they've given over the last few weeks".

BBC Local LiveA man is believed to have suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A30 near Bodmin.
Police said, external they were called to the scene at about 09:45 after a Peugeot van and a Massey tractor with a trailer carrying livestock crashed.
Police have not said which vehicle the man who suffered "serious, possibly life-threatening injuries" was in.
The cattle in the trailer were uninjured, officers added.
The road has been closed in both directions and long delays have been reported.
Police have appealed for witnesses.

Highways bosses said that both carriageways were to remain closed until barrier repairs were completed.

Truro City's home match against Concord Rangers tonight has fallen victim to the weather.
It's thought the Canvey Island-based team, who are more than 300 miles away from the Treyew Road ground, where the match was scheduled to take place, raised concerns about travelling in the current weather conditions.
It's understood the Southern Premier League had said the match should go ahead.

BBC Local LiveFreezing temperatures overnight have complicated repairing a burst water main in Exeter and a road damaged by the burst, South West Water says.
Topsham Road is closed between Burnthouse Lane and Countess Wear due to the burst on Monday.
The utility said that teams had been working through the night and it would be ongoing through Tuesday.
Customers' supplies were not affected and access was being maintained for residents and businesses, it added.
The company said: "We apologise for the disruption caused and we are doing everything we can to complete the repair and reopen the road as soon as possible."

BBC News OnlineFour fire crews are attending the scene of a blaze at an industrial building in the Under Lane area of Launceston.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at about 06:10.
Firefighters said, external the Environment Agency was also attending and monitoring any water run-off from the incident into nearby rivers.
They added "good progress" was being made in tackling the fire and they were due to "be scaling down the attendance" soon.

BBC News OnlineProposals made by a senior consultant at the Royal Cornwall Hospital to get GP surgeries to offer "walk-in" appointments at weekends have been criticised by a doctor on NHS Kernow's governing body.
Emergency department (ED) consultant Andy Virr said he believed it could offer a solution to ED overcrowding.
But Dr Rob White, who's a GP as well as an NHS manager, said that, with 12 practices in the county already opening on Saturdays for routine appointments, trying to staff walk-ins would take vital resources away from the out-of-hours service.
He said: "General practice is also under an incredible amount of pressure ... This doesn't cover the urgent care.
"This means that if you remove some of these folk to do Saturday mornings [walk-in appointments], you don't have an out-of-hours service, and we vitally need that service."

BBC Local LiveA man in his 60s from Newton Abbot has been taken to hospital after a lorry crashed into the central reservation of the A38 in Plymouth, police say.
The A38 close to the Marsh Mills flyover has been closed after the crash which involved what police described as a "small lorry".
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 09:00.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver was being taken to Derriford Hospital by land ambulance, although an air ambulance was also called.
Officers added: "The road will remain closed until Highways [England] have made the necessary repairs to the damaged central reservation barrier."
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area.
