    A Devon MP says she is "deeply disappointed" at plans that could see Teignmouth Hospital close.

    The NHS South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust has proposed plans that would see a new health centre in the town created.

    The purpose-built site could see Teignmouth's three GP practices - Channel View, Teign Estuary and Teignmouth Medical Practice - co-located with a multi-disciplinary team, but would see the closure of the current Teignmouth Hospital in Mill Lane.

    Newton Abbot Conservative MP Anne Marie Morris said she welcomed the plans to co-locate health services, but called for the hospital, built in 1954, to stay open.

    A man has been left with "multiple facial injuries" including a "fractured eye socket and jaw" after a serious assault in Torquay, police have said., external

    It happened at about 22:15 in the Apple and Parrot pub on 10 March.

    Devon and Cornwall Police said they were trying to identify three men (pictured) in connection with the attack.

    An 89-year-old woman has gone missing from near Wadebridge, police have said., external

    Margaret Leadbetter was last seen at her home in Egloshayle between 18:00 and 19:00 on Tuesday.

    Devon and Cornwall Police are concerned for her safety.

    She is described as white, of small build, 5ft 4ins (162cm) in height, with long grey hair usually tied up in a bun.

    Margaret was last seen wearing a green dressing gown and may be carrying a red hot water bottle.

    Anyone with information is being asked to contact 999.

    Museum of the Year finalists

    The finalists for the Art Fund Museum of the Year 2018 have been announced on a special edition of Front Row.

    One of these five museums, which range from a centre for women's history to one celebrating a top motor sport racetrack, as well as Tate St Ives, will win the prestigious award and a £100,000 prize.

    The winning museum will be announced at the V&A London on Tuesday, 5 July, 2018.

    Police are appealing for help, external after a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Plymouth.

    It happened near the bus station on Armada Way between 22:00 on 27 January and 04:00 on 28 January.

    Devon and Cornwall Police want to identify a man (pictured) in connection with the attack.

    It's believed he may have information "to assist with the inquiry", police added.

    A necklace that was taken to a valuation day in Exeter has been sold for more than £1m, despite being given an estimate of £150,000 to £200,000.

    The emerald and diamond pendant necklace was made by the house of Hennell and sold at Bonhams in London for £1,328,750.

    It was one of three items taken into the company's Exeter office that were originally from the private collection of Louise Stephens, wife of Michael Stephens, of the Stephens Ink family.

    The three items sold last week for a total of £1,928,250.

    Plymouth has been named as the one of the most polluted places in the UK, with an air pollution rate higher than London.

    Data from the World Health Organisation (WHO) shows it as one of nearly 50 towns and cities across the country which match or exceed limits of air pollution.

    Researchers looked at fine particle emissions - called PM 2.5 - which travel deeply into people's respiratory systems and can lead to health problems.

    Many of the country's main cities exceed the WHO limit of 10 micrograms per cubic metre, including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham.

    Plymouth (pictured) recorded 12, one above London, which showed 11 micrograms per cubic metre in 2015.

    The steel town of Port Talbot was named the most polluted place at 18.

    Political parties are making a late push for votes as campaigning for Thursday's English council elections enters its final day.

    A total of 4,371 seats are up for grabs across 150 councils, with six mayoral elections also taking place.

    It is the first England-wide test of electoral opinion since last year's snap general election.

    In Devon, a third of the seats on Exeter and Plymouth city councils are being contested.

    A man was taken to hospital after "shattered glass" injured him during a road rage incident in Plymouth, police have said., external

    It happened on Ringmore Way on 21 April at about 18:00.

    Devon and Cornwall Police say there was a "minor road traffic collision" between two cars and one man - after exiting a Peugeot 206 - struck the glass of the other driver's window.

    The impact caused the glass to shatter over the driver, causing "visible injury".

    The Peugeot then drove off in the direction of Whitleigh, police added.

    Anyone with information is being asked to contact police via 101.

    The Big Issue has published its first article written entirely in Cornish.

    It's been penned by Welsh musician Gwenno, who speaks both celtic languages.

    The piece details the history of Kernewek and Gwenno said she wanted to celebrate the "language of the home to her more than anything else".

    The street newspaper did translate the article, external for those who don't speak the language.
