    Two women and a man have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Bournemouth.

    Dorset Police said the man, in his 40s, was stabbed in his chest and hand in Norwood Place shortly after 21:45 GMT on Monday.

    He remains in hospital. His injuries are not described as life threatening.

    Two women, aged 34 and 31, and a man, aged 61, remain in custody.

    Cordons were put in place overnight in Kimberley Road, Stamford Road, Seabourne Road and Norwood Place.

    A man and woman living in Bridport, Dorset, lost £10,700 in two separate scams on Wednesday involving people posing as couriers after receiving calls from bogus police officers.

    On Thursday a couple in their 70s received a call from a man claiming he was a detective inspector and that a woman working for their bank was being investigated.The caller then told them to withdraw £6,000 before claiming the serial numbers on the notes were fraudulent.A fake courier then collected the cash from their home on Redbridge Road in Crossways.

    Dorset Police has warned people to be "extremely vigilant" and appealed for witnesses.

    A man has been arrested after climbing on the roof of a building in Bournemouth.

    Dorset Police said armed officers and a police helicopter responded to the incident in Cecil Road, Boscombe, around 08:30 GMT.

    They said four vehicles parked nearby were damaged.

    The 39-year-old man was brought to safety and arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, the force said.
