    Trevor Owens
Sports Editor, BBC Hereford & Worcester

Mooen Ali's father says he hopes his son has many more memorable days ahead after his hat-trick saw South Africa bowled out in the test match at The Oval.

The Worcestershire cricket star became the first England player in almost 80 years win a test match by bowling out three players in three balls.

His father Manir said his son deserves more recognition for his bowling ability.

"He was known as a part-time bowler and still known to be part time bowler.

"I have heard people say, even the coaches said, he's a number two bowler.

"He's taken 18 wickets in three test matches and he's done it before and he's done it again so I wonder when they're going to say he's a front-line first choice bowler now?"

It's been a year since the launch of Nintendo's Pokemon Go! game for smartphones, but fears it could place children in danger appear to be unfounded.

When it first appeared, there were warnings that the app, which encourages players to hunt the real world for virtual beasts, could lead them into danger or that criminals could take advantage of it.

    Pokemon Go!

But West Mercia Police only recorded seven crimes involving Pokemon Go! in the 12 months since last July and some of those crimes involved the original card-based game.

I think we need to remember the futility of war - all these young lives lost, a whole generation wiped out. It changed the course of world history, particularly ours because women took over a lot of jobs, the vote came in, medicine advanced. Lots of things came out of it. There wasn't always a bad side to it

    Joe Baldwin
News Editor, BBC Hereford & Worcester

A 72-year-old man from Droitwich says staff at Worcestershire Royal Hospital threatened to get security guards to make him leave the premises after he told them 11 o'clock at night was too late to send him home.

John Waters says he was delayed from going home earlier because of problems with his medication and then when he refused the hospital's offer of a taxi home at 23:00 on Thursday night, he was threatened with security.

The hospital eventually allowed him to stay the night on a trolley, but tried to make him leave at 06:00 the next morning.

I'm bi-polar. I'm diabetic. It's only fair to say that it's really knocked me back. I've never been in trouble with the police, never been in a situation where I've had to be sedated or security called to me or anything. It's come as such a shock

    John Waters

The hospital has apologised for the upset that was caused to Mr Waters.

In a statement, it also says it's a top priority to reduce any unnecessary stays in a hospital bed, and a senior member of staff has contacted Mr Waters directly to discuss what happened.
