We've had a great day in Norton in North Yorkshire today.
The crowds came out to greet the cyclists and the community spirit was on show with the all important bunting adorning the trees:

We're not far off the next climb, the Cote de Robin Hood'sBay, and it's a killer.
We're talking 1.5km at 9.4%.
I'd struggle to walk up that without having to break out the deckchair...

There's been some superb land art along the route of Stage One today.
In Scarborough, today's finish line, there's a humongous yellow and blue Tour de Yorkshire jersey.
Whilst near Flamingo Land, the official artist for the event Lucy Pittaway created this pink spectacle:

Small climb now out of Whitby, yep they're done with the town already, and then the next sprint

We're hoping for a bit of a chase at the end of this stage, if they have any legs left after the Cote de Robin Hood's Bay.
It's mostly flat or downhill, so could provide an interesting finish in Scarborough.
