    Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected assault and attempted robbery in Grimsby.

    A 50-year-old woman was walking along Victoria Street South on 19 September at around 16:00.

    Officers say four youths who were riding pushbikes surrounded the woman, pushed her to the ground, then one of them tried to steal her handbag.

    The youths rode away from the scene.

    A 16-year-old girl has appeared at Grimsby Magistrates' Court charged with the attempted murder of a school welfare officer.

    The girl was remanded in custody and will appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday.

    She didn't enter a plea.

    Joy Simon who works at the Winterton Academy near Scunthorpe is still recovering from her injuries after being stabbed on Monday.

    A new Assistant Chief Constable has been appointed at Humberside Police.

    Chris Noble worked for the Police Service of Northern Ireland, including a role as police commander for Belfast City.

    Humberside Police has made several other senior appointments recently including appointing Lee Freeman as Chief Constable.

    A 42 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found this morning.

    A police cordon is in now in place on the A15 southbound near the Barton slip road after the body of a woman was found.

    Officers say the investigation is ongoing and that they have not formally identified the victim.

    Hull 2017: UK City of Culture

    An epic City of Culture performance staged on the water in a Hull dock returns to the city tonight.

    Flood,which tells the story of the impact on individuals and communities when their city is destroyed, is helping to mark the fourth season of 2017.

    It first appeared as an online film in January, followed by a live performance in April, and a TV screening in August.

    The fourth set of performances starts tonight until the 29 September, with more between the 4 and 8 October.
