Jobs at Five Star fish in Grimsby are under threat as the company consults on the plant's future.
The company says despite recent investment the site is heavily loss making and they've been unable to turn it around.
Five Star Fish say they've undertaken a full review of their business and in the long-term - the site at Grimsby is not sustainable in its current form meaning almost 400 jobs at the factory could go.
Five Star Fish say despite investing £6m back in June 2016 it's been impossible to turn this into any profit.
The company says no final decision has been made as yet.
The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust say now is the time to tackle plastic pollution.

It comes as the government has announced proposals to make people pay a deposit when they buy drinks, bottles and cans.
The deposit will increase prices but consumers will get the money back if they return the container.
Foredyke Bridge in Hull is to remain closed for another three months, according to Hull City Council.
The bridge will be closed for public safety reasons as more structural repairs are needed.
The council has apologised and says diversions will remain in place.
The team from BBC One's DIY SOS are in Hessle in East Yorkshire today.
They are on the lookout for materials to help them with a project in the town next month - they would like to hear from suppliers including timber, brick and concrete blocks, electrical and decorations.
The team plans to help a father and his two sons with a new home.
TV chef and presenter Joe Hurd will be in Hull next Saturday giving a free cooking demonstration in the city's Museum Quarter.
Joe, who presents on the Discovery and Travel Channel is also a guest presenter on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen and grew up in Hull.
As well as cooking, he'll be sharing his experiences about growing up in an Italian family in the city.

Passengers travelling by train in East Yorkshire over Easter are being urged to check routes beforehand.
Network Rail says some services will be hit as upgrade work continues as part of the Great North Rail Project, external.
There'll be no trains between Hull, Goole and Selby from Saturday 31 March to Monday 2 April.
Bus replacement services will be available.

An e-fit of a man suspected of trying to abduct a girl in North East Lincolnshire has been released by police.
It's thought he tried to abduct the 16-year-old girl at a bus stop on North Sea Lane area of Humberston last Wednesday morning.
Officers say she was approached by a man on crutches who then tried to push her towards a small white van.
The girl managed to get away and was left shaken but unharmed.
Humberside police say they are looking into a number of leads, but they are also appealing for any drivers with dash-cam footage who were in the area at the time to come forward.
The man is described as 5ft 9in tall and in his 50s.

Safety advice on the county's beaches and cliff tops ahead of the Easter weekend has been issued by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The authority says long stretches of the coastline may be affected by coastal erosion and the recent bad weather has also led to changes in beach levels.
Precautionary advice includes planning your route ahead, noting tide times and keeping away from cliff edges.
Plans for almost 200 new homes in Waltham, near Grimsby, have been turned down.
Cyden Homes wanted to build the development but North East Lincolnshire planners voted seven to one against the houses being built.
Around 140 homes and businesses in the Spring Bank area of Hull are without power.
Northern Powergrid say engineers are on their way to fix the problem and will restore the power as soon as possible.
They're not yet sure what's caused the power cut but say the electricity should be back on by about 13:30.

Highways England says they worked with Tidy Britain to clear 1,800 bags of rubbish from motorways in Yorkshire in a recent clean-up.
