    Tonight Sunbridge Wells in Bradford, external will open its doors to VIPs for the first time.

    The network of Victorian tunnels have been empty for decades, but after £2m worth of investment, they are about to become a series of underground bars and restaurants.

    About 100 cannabis plants have been discovered at a property in Keighley.

  6. Underground bars and restaurants in Bradfordpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    A network of Victorian tunnels in Bradford that have been transformed into bars and restaurants will open this weekend. 

    The £2m project, which has transformed old tunnels underneath the city into bars, restaurants and shops, has faced long delays and run over budget.

    Defence Secretary Michael Fallon was in Yorkshire to talk about the county being awarded £185m of MOD contracts.

    Here in West Yorkshire, 156-year-old firm David Brown Santasalo is making gearboxes for the Navy's new type 26 Global Combat Ships. 

    The MOD says the work will put £36m into Huddersfield's economy, and will support 90 jobs. 

    Next Spring, an Astute type submarine will set sail from Barrow, Cumbria, fitted with gears made here in West Yorkshire. 

  8. 77-year-old man dies in Crossgates crashpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    A 77-year-old man has died after being knocked down by a car in Leeds. 

    The 64-year-old driver of blue Peugeot is being questioned by police after the man was hit on Austhorpe Lane, in Crossgates yesterday at about 17:30. 

    The 77-year-old later died in the LGI.

  9. 'Halloween ride-out' bike shown off by policepublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    Seven people have been arrested following the "Halloween ride-out" in Leeds. The incident in October say about 80 bikers causing chaos on the streets of the city.

    Today West Yorkshire Police have shown some of the bikes that were seized including one that crashed on the night.

    Officers say they've also identified 80 registration numbers of vehicles involved and that they will be working on tracking them down.

    The bikers drove through pedestrian zones on Halloween - and brought a main route into and out of the city to a standstill.

  11. Leeds lights up for Christmaspublished at 14:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    If you're planning on doing some Christmas shopping in Leeds over the coming weeks, then why not take a break from the shops and check out some art installations.

    An "immersive art and lights trail, external" has sprung up in the city.

    If you've been in the train station for example you might have seen that giant bloke hanging from the ceiling, he's part of it! 

    There's even the Northern Lights in the Corn Exchange, they look great go and have a look. Here's the promotional video the team behind it have released:

    Two men have been arrested after a gun was fired at the door of a house in Harehills on Wednesday.

    The men aged 18 and 26 were arrested last night by armed officers at about 19:00.

  15. Leeds 'Halloween ride-out': Injunction over future anti-social eventspublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    More on the "Halloween ride-out" that caused chaos on the streets of Leeds in October.

    Today officers have arrested seven people in connection with the incident and released CCTV images of more people they want to speak to.

    Leeds City Council has also sought out new powers to stop the incident from happening again. They've been granted an injunction from the County Court that bans people from participating in "anti-social driving of motor vehicles". 

    The order also forbids people from promoting, organising or publicising such an event. The injunction carries a power of arrest.

    This was footage captured on the night of the "Halloween ride-out".

    More on the seven arrests over the "Halloween ride-out" in Leeds in October. 

    West Yorkshire Police say that the arrests "follow comprehensive enquiries" into what happened when about 80 riders caused chaos on the streets of Leeds.

    Officers have now released CCTV images of men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

  17. Arrests of 'Halloween ride-out' in Leedspublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    More on the news that seven people have been arrested following the "Halloween ride-out" in Leeds, which saw about 80 bikers causing chaos in the streets of Leeds.

    Six men aged 22 to 26 and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause a public nuisance.

    The gang brought Kirkstall Road to a standstill as they rode up and down in scenes that some likened to the film "Mad Max". They also took their bikes onto Briggate, the pedestrianised area in the centre of the city.

    Officers made the arrests this morning at homes in Bramley, Armley, Harehills, Burmantofts, Roundhay, Farnley, and Batley.

    They seized four motorbikes and a number of items of motorcycle equipment, such as helmets and clothing, as part of the investigation.

  19. Exhibition of flooding pictures opens todaypublished at 12:29 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2016

    We're a determined lot in Yorkshire, and that was tested to the limit during the Boxing Day floods last year. 

    A year on from the devastating deluge, Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills are displaying a selection of photos, external, stories and artwork created by people who were affected by it.

    More than 3,000 properties in Leeds were hit by the floods, with the museum itself being submerged under eight feet of water.

    A special plaque was unveiled at the museum in May to the mark the exact height the flood waters reached. 

    As part of the exhibition, which opens today, archive pictures of flooding from years gone by will also be on display.

    A burglar broke into an insecure property in Brunswick Street, between 5 and 6 December and stole a number of items, including a black Vauxhall Corsa, which was later recovered in Liversedge.
