    'Ella', which is not her real name, was abused while her mother slept.

    It's not easy listening - her ordeal began before she was a teenager.

    Lead singer Ricky Wilson says there's something truly special about playing in front of a Yorkshire audience.

    A Yorkshire police dog handler is trying to get a law introduced which would give police dogs the same protection as officers.

    Finn's Law is named after dog that was stabbed while on duty. 

    It would mean anyone who attacked a police animal could face charges like GBH or assault. At the moment it's classed as criminal damage.

    A North Yorkshire man with a condition that will soon prevent him from speaking has literally "been given a voice". 

    Jason Liversidge, from Scarborough, is the first person in Yorkshire to have his voice perfectly recreated by computer. 

    He has motor neurone disease and has been helped by a pioneering clinic set up in Edinburgh by the Harry Potter writer JK Rowling

    He's also been helped by his friend Phil, who "donated" his own voice to make Jason's sound clearer:

    A few problems are being reported on Yorkshire's roads at the moment which you should be aware of if you're heading out:

    • Heavy traffic on A59 eastbound in Blubberhouses between the Kex Gill Road junction and the Hall Lane junction. In the roadworks area
    • The traffic is building up on A6120 Ring Road (Seacroft) in both directions in Leeds at the A58 Wetherby Road junction
    • Heavy traffic on A616 eastbound in Tankersley at Wentworth Business Park Roundabout
    • Heavy traffic on A6110 Ring Road Beeston southbound in Leeds at the A62 Gelderd Road junction
