    Steve White
    BBC Radio Sheffield

It's well known that many Americans love everything British, but did you know they're partial to a bit of morris dancing?

Indeed, it seems they're a fan of all things morris-related - the bells, sticks and handkerchiefs, the works - on the other side of the Atlantic.

To prove this, the Minnesota Traditional Morris Men are currently in the UK on tour, including performances in Sheffield and York.

Ed Stern and Hassan Safouri are from the group and told me how they got into the pastime:

  11. Police appeal over fail-to-stop crash in Bradfordpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

Police in Bradford are appealing for witnesses after two people ran off from a car which had crashed into a shop in the city at the weekend.

Officers saw the car, a white Volkswagen Golf GTi, being driven erratically on Killinghall Road at about 03:50 on Sunday morning.

They requested that the driver stop the car, but it continued along Leeds Old Road and then back towards Killinghall Road where it left the road and hit a shop.

The two occupants of the car - both believed to be Asian men in their 20s, one of whom is thought to have been wearing a grey hooded top - ran away from the scene.

Sgt Andrew Gudgeon says: "We believe people will have seen this vehicle driving erratically around the area before it left the road and collided with the shop.

"We'd also like to hear from anyone who may have seen two males of similar description running from the Killinghall Road area at that time."

  12. Roads re-open after Leeds 'grenade' incidentpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

We've just been told that the roads around Weetwood Police Station in Leeds have been re-opened following an earlier incident there.

A cordon was set up and the police station was evacuated after a man brought in what's thought to have been a hand grenade which he'd found while clearing out a relative's house.

Army bomb disposal squad experts were called in and the device was "made safe", say police.

During the incident, the A660 Otley Road was closed causing major traffic delays in the area.

It looks like things should now be getting back to normal:
