A man needed hospital treatment after being knifed in the stomach, external at Doncaster nightclub Warehouse, where he had been clubbing with friends and his partner.
The 30-year-old man also suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife inside the venue on Marsh Gate.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the assault, which happened in the early hours of last Sunday, August 13, at around 02.10 BST.

The north of England's "huge economic potential is being held back by an out-dated, expensive and slow transport system", northern leaders say.
A delegation of political and business officials at Cloth Hall Court have issued a joint statement, in which they have called for "substantial new investment in modern infrastructure linking the great cities of the north".
Among those who have been attending the event are leaders of Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester councils, Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and business representatives.

A North Yorkshire bus firm announced it had gone into liquidation today - leaving its rush hour passengers waiting at bus stops.
Utopia Buses, was based in Sherburn-in-Elmet and had routes through Selby, Drax, Tadcaster and York.
The BBC has tried to contact both the firm and the administrator this afternoon so far, no one has been available for comment.

North Yorkshire County Council says the conversion work in Northallerton was done as soon as was possible.
Councillor Don Mackenzie said: “Every effort was made to complete this conversion work at the earliest opportunity to minimise any inconvenience to drivers and we thank them for their patience."
Leeds Carnival is the "oldest carnival in Europe" and is still looking to the future.
Up to 150,000 people are expected to turn out on the streets of Chapeltown for Leeds Carnival over the August bank holiday weekend - many of them under 20 years of age.
The West Indian Carnival started in 1967 and has since taken place every year:
Janice Long features Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley on her Radio 2 show tonight.
They spend quite a lot of time in the bar and music room of Richard's local The Greystones - which has played host to Richard himself along with Pulp, Martin Simpson and Duane Eddy and then they take Richard's dogs Alf and Fred to the nearby Bingham Park.
Richard talks about growing up with his musical parents and the changing musical, political and social atmosphere in Sheffield from the 1960s to the present day.
The programme is on Radio 2 at 22:00 tonight.
Dr Angie Heal a former police analyst who wrote a report on the Rotherham abuse scandal says she has concerns that the senior command team has never been investigated.

The north of England "needs transport investment now", the Mayor of Greater Manchester said as northern leaders gather at a transport summit in Leeds.
In a tweet, Andy Burnham, external said: "We are here with one loud, clear and strong voice - the North."
Political and businesses who want more investment in local infrastructure are meeting at Cloth Hall Court.
Mr Burnham said the conference was a "packed house".
Donald Pemberton, who was in HMP Wakefield, said he "thought about killing every day".

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has released details of the types of calls they got in those two hours:

Between 09:00 and 11:15 this morning took 23 calls about floods around the area, they went to seven of those and they were mainly in the Leeds and Wetherby areas.
A fortnight's worth of rain fell in just a couple of hours in North and West Yorkshire this morning causing flash flooding and problems on the roads.
