The Leeds Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) is warning teenagers about the potential dangers of attending parties or "get-togethers" - especially on the promise of free drink and drugs.

They warn that the people behind Child Sex Exploitation change their tactics regularly to "avoid detection and prosecution".

LSCB has issued this advice of when to be suspicious:

    • You don’t know the person whose party it is
    • You are being offered free drink, free drugs and a lift
    • You don’t know the person who has invited you
    • Accepting the invitation could lead to you feeling pressured into doing things that you don’t want to do

Although these parties or get-togethers can and do take place all year round, we know that there is an increase in this model of sexual exploitation at this time of year"

Sheffield's Joe Root has never won a test in Australia and says it is bitterly disappointing:

    Quote Message

You take a lot of responsibility as captain. Fair play to Australia, they outplayed us in this game and won the key moments. I am proud of the way we battled, but we were outskilled. We have been in every game but not managed to drive it forwards. We haven't been completely outplayed we just haven't performed at that level for long periods of time. It's hard to take but it's part of cricket."

The county council is warning it may have to take what it describes as tough decisions because of "long-term government austerity".

Officials say unlike other authorities, North Yorkshire's managed to keep this service running despite cuts which began in 2010.

They say cutting free transport for 16-year-olds and over with disabilities and special needs, would save £2m a year.

But it's uncertain how many youngsters would be affected, or how they'd get to school without help in England's largest, most rural county.

Doncaster Children's Trust is converting two houses in Cantley, into a six-bed supported facility for care leavers, where they'll get 24-hour support to help them transition to independent adult life.

Currently, the Trust relies on out-of-area placements, private supported accommodation providers and group living arrangements.

Mica is a young adviser to the trust. She's been in care herself and says the house should help young people who are leaving care to become more settled:
