Bradford fire mill used to store tyrespublished at 11:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2017
A Bradford mill which has been badly damaged by a fire overnight was being used to store tyres according to West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS).
The fire in Rebecca Street started in the basement of the mill at about 03:30 and 15 fire engines were sent to the scene.
The blaze moved upwards through the building and spread to the roof, but WYFRS say that they managed to contain the fire to one part of the building complex.
They say that they managed to save "a number of other commercial properties" - no one was injured.
Quote MessageFire crews have dealt effectively with the fire overnight and the incident has now been scaled down to 3 fire engines with firefighters remaining in attendance to ensure any pockets of fire are extinguished.”
