The York Rescue Boat has issued a warning about children off school today due to the snowy conditions.

The rescue boat crew also warn difficult road conditions slow down emergency response times

The snow has resulted in 13 closures in the Rotherham area. Adverse weather conditions has meant a number of staff are unable to get to various sites across the borough.

We're being warned to expect major disruption caused by snow across Yorkshire this morning.
The Met Office has weather warnings, external in place again and says some places could get as much as 40cm of snow, while temperatures aren't expected to rise above freezing.
