    Rotherham United will mark their promotion to the Championship with an open-top bus tour of the town later.

    They beat Shrewsbury 2-1 at Wembley in the League One play-off final on Sunday.

    The team's open-top bus will leave the New York Stadium at 18:00 to head for All Saints Square and on to Rotherham Town Hall for a civic reception.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a nightclub in Bingley was broken into and damaged over the bank holiday weekend - the second break-in there in less than a month.

    Windows were damaged at the Bijou nightclub, on Chapel Lane, during the incident which happened between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

    Nothing is believed to have been been taken.

    Officers are also investigating another incident of criminal damage at the club which is thought to have happened overnight between Friday 18 and Saturday 19 May.

    A new fertiliser mining project in North Yorkshire will boost the economy by £2.3bn a year after Brexit, according to an independent study.

    It's claimed the Sirius project at Woodsmith Mine, near Whitby, will create thousands of jobs and deliver huge export-led growth for at least the next 50 years.

    A 23-mile tunnel will be built at the site so minerals can be transported to a processing plant on Teesside.

    Sirius claims it will create more than 1,000 jobs, but opponents say it will damage the landscape and wildlife.

    An independent economic impact assessment predicts the whole region will benefit from the project for at least 50 years.

    Meanwhile, the 07:17 service from Bradford Interchange to Leeds has been cancelled.

    A 15-year-old boy is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court later charged with murdering another boy of the same age.

    He's accused of killing Samuel Baker (pictured), who was also 15, who died from stab wounds on Thursday night in the Lowedges area of the city.

    The accused teenager appeared before magistrates yesterday.
