Tommy Robinson appeal: Case to be reheard 'as soon as possible'published at 12:43 British Summer Time 1 August 2018
Tommy Robinson, the far-right activist who was jailed for admitting being in contempt of court, has been released from prison on bail.
Robinson, 35 whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon received a 13-month jail term in May after he filmed outside Leeds Crown Court during a trial.
He partially won his appeal against a contempt of court finding due to technical flaws by the judge who jailed him.
The Court of Appeal ruled Robinson should be released on bail from prison and attend the Old Bailey for the Leeds allegations to be reheard "as soon as possible".
He is also banned from coming within 400 metres of Leeds Crown Court.
