The landlord of the House of Fraser building in Hull has said it wants to "create an exceptional landmark mixed-use building" when the store closes in Hull.
Earlier today it was revealed the business will definitely shut, and a sign on the the store window confirms the date as January 2019.
The firm which owns the building has now said it's committed to its redevelopment and wants this to mirror the recent rejuvenation of Hull city centre.
The landlord adds that it will be working closely with the city council, and it hopes to be in a position to offer staff at the current House of Fraser new jobs with new tenants in the future.
