  18. Listen: Village music fest 'a disaster waiting to happen'published at 09:39 British Summer Time 21 September 2018

People living in a North Yorkshire village say they're worried about the expected arrival of about 15,000 dance music fans for a festival being held there this weekend.

Villagers in Church Fenton, near Tadcaster, which has a population of just over 1,000, say they're worried about the numbers arriving for the Mint Festival, particularly due to a rail strike, external which they fear may leave many of those attending stranded.

The festival was given the go-ahead despite claims people used gardens as toilets last year, when the event was held at Stockeld Park, near Wetherby.

Andrew Mason, a member of the Church Fenton Parish Council, says he fears the event will turn to chaos:

But Roberta Rochella, a regular at Mint Festivals, says she's been very impressed by the organisers' efforts and urges people going to the festival to behave properly:

Festival organisers say they've worked with the local authority on every stage of the planning process and have worked hard to involve the local community.
