    A man has died after being hit by a van in North Yorkshire.

    The van struck the man, believed to have been in his 30s, on the B6265 near Marton-cum-Grafton.

    North Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the scene by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at about 04:00 yesterday morning.

    Anyone who was travelling along the B6265 at the time of the incident is being asked to contact the force.

    A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in a Sheffield street.

    The 31-year-old was attacked at about 00:20 in Walkley Lane, in the Hillsborough area, yesterday morning.

    A second man, 29, who was also stabbed, has been discharged from hospital.

    South Yorkshire Police said a man, aged 24, had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and wounding.

    Police who chased a stolen car through West Yorkshire say they were shocked to find the driver was a 13-year-old boy.

    Officers chased the car, which was travelling at 100mph, from Keighley.

    The vehicle had been reported stolen following a burglary in Shipley.

    Two people were arrested after the car was eventually stopped by officers in Bingley.
