    A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap in Dewsbury.

    A man approached a 16-year-old girl and her younger sister on Ingham Road at about 16:00 on Sunday and took hold of the four-year-old girl, police say.

    The suspect assaulted the 16-year-old and when she shouted for help the man let the child go and ran off in the direction of Parker Road.

    Fans were crushed outside Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground on Friday before the team's clash with local rivals Sheffield Wednesday, according to a city MP.

    Clive Betts, Labour MP for Sheffield South East and Wednesday fan, says there weren't enough turnstiles open to get away fans into the stadium in a timely manner.

    He says it led to "extremely uncomfortable" crushing, with women "screaming and crying" near to him before the game.

    The MP is now calling for a review of safety arrangements at the ground.

    In a statement, the club says footage has been examined and there were no images of reported crushing and every matchday operation is reviewed with the police.

    Mr Betts has been invited to meet the club's management and stewarding team, the statement adds.

    The way sex workers legally operate in part of Leeds is being reviewed following a series of complaints by people living nearby.

    Councillors in the city are due to meet today to discuss whether they should suspend the zone in Holbeck, where sex workers can do business without breaking the law.

    It comes after people living in the area said they'd been plagued by anti-social behaviour since the zone was set up.

    The area aims to protect sex workers from abuse and its supporters said the women using it felt "safer", but residents of Holbeck have described the area as "out of control".

    The investment will bring together businesses and academia to improve lucrative sectors, including fashion, broadcast and video games.

    Businesses including Aardman, Sony, and Burberry will work will academics in hubs, such as York, to research ways to improve production.

    Plans for 425 new homes on the site of the former Nestle factory in York are set to be approved by councillors, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

    A report prepared for members of the planning committee asks them to approve the application, despite concerns over the impact the scheme will have on traffic on Wigginton Road.

    The plans would see 118 homes and 307 apartments built at the site, as well as a creche, community building, office block and convenience store.

    An outline planning application for the development will be discussed at a meeting on Thursday.

    Humberside's Chief Constable has welcomed a new law which could see harsher sentences given to those who attack members of the emergency services.

    The law, which comes into force today, will see longer jail sentences for those convicted of attacks on emergency service workers.

    Lee Freeman said: "While we are the police and we do expect to run towards danger, it is not acceptable that we should experience such violence while doing our job, and we must take a stand against this.

    “The levels of violence we’re experiencing can at times be extremely serious, and the personal impact on those assaulted should not be underestimated."

    North Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner has apologised, after a report concluded she had displayed "bullying behaviour" towards an employee.

    Julia Mulligan says she's "taken very seriously" the conclusion that some of her behaviours were "perceived by the complainant to have been bullying in their nature".

    She said: "I am both very concerned and truly sorry that anything I may have said or done could be perceived in the way described by the complainant.

    "I would again like to say how sorry I am for any impact this may have had on the complainant."

    A different meeting is being held today to assess two separate allegations against the PCC.
