'We need a venue we can afford' - Hull football coachespublished at 07:45 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2018
Two football coaches have launched a campaign to repair several artificial pitches in Hull in a bid to provide somewhere "affordable" for youth sides to play.
Martin Lowthorpe and Lee Forlow estimate it will take them two years to fix the playing surfaces on Pickering Road.
Mr Forlow, who has set up a community interest company to get the work done, says: "We want to bring it up to a high standard and make it available again."
The pair hope to raise money to fund the work by selling advertising space around the perimeter of the pitch.
Mr Lowthorpe, who runs the West 'Ull Yorkies team, said: "We need a venue in this area that we can afford to play at."
