A man was slashed in the face and taken to hospital after being attacked in Rotherham town centre.
It happened at about 23:30 on Friday 23 November on Corporation Street.
The 49-year-old man was attacked by two men and a woman, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Police have not confirmed what weapon was used to injure the man.
Two motorists have been charged with dangerous driving after two teenagers were killed in a car crash near Thirsk.
George Turner, from Sowerby, and Mason Pearson, from Thirsk, were passengers in a green VW Bora when it collided with a black Ford Focus on the A61 at Busby Stoop in March last year.
Another two passengers in the Bora, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were taken to hospital in a critical condition and later discharged.
A couple and their young children, who were in the Ford Focus, were taken to hospital before being discharged.
The driver of the Bora, a 23-year-old man from Thirsk, has now been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and five counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The teenage driver of a third vehicle, described by police as "driving in company with the Bora," has also been charged with dangerous driving.
The pair are due to appear before magistrates in Northallerton next month.
A broken-down car on the M62 westbound is disrupting traffic this afternoon.
The car is in the outside lane of the four-lane motorway, straddling the central reservation.

Kimberley Richmond, also known as Kimberley Barker, was last seen in the early hours of this morning at Leeds General Infirmary.
The 31-year-old was wearing a cream coloured gown, black cropped trousers, brown short boots and was carrying a black handbag.

A police officer has been charged with assaulting a teenage football fan.
PC Liam Stewart is alleged to have assaulted the 18-year-old man prior to a League Cup match between Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield at Hillsborough.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said the teenager was treated for injuries to his face following the incident in August 2017.
PC Stewart is due to appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court on 28 November.
The IOPC said the South Yorkshire Police officer will also be the subject of a misconduct hearing.
A man appeared in court today charged with exposing himself to a dog walker in an East Yorkshire village.
Michael Sales, 41, was arrested following an incident near to the cricket club in the village of Sewerby, near Bridlington, yesterday evening.
Sales, of no fixed abode, appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody ahead of a further appearance next month.
York City Knights' first game at their new stadium will be against former Challenge Cup winners Bradford Bulls, who were also promoted last season.
The Knights' fixture list was released yesterday, with the match scheduled for 20 July at the Community Stadium.

A new 350-space multi-story car park is to be built on Hull's Fruit Market, paving the way for one of the city's largest employers to relocate.
Safety supplier Arco is to move its headquarters, after the council loaned £3.2m to a company behind the regeneration of the area.
Darren Hale, deputy leader of Hull City Council, said: "There'll be lots of people in the Fruit Market area with money to spend at lunchtime and in the evening."

Mohammed Anwaar was due before Sheffield Crown Court on 17 October for his trial.
The 29-year-old is charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, two counts of money laundering, possession of cannabis and possession of a firearm.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Anwaar is fully aware he is now wanted by police and that he is potentially facing a stint behind bars."
A total of 15 people have been arrested, fake cigarettes seized and a so-called "chop shop" closed down after a dedicated day of action in Doncaster.
On Friday, nine people were arrested on warrants for failing to appear at court, three arrested on suspicion of burglary offences and one arrested in connection with a serious assault as part of a high-visibility policing operation

At least 50 pupils and staff have been affected by an outbreak of the norovirus winter vomiting bug at a school in York.
As a result, Copmanthorpe Primary is closed today as a precautionary measure and it will open again on Thursday morning, the school says.
Norovirus is the most common cause of stomach bugs in the UK and affects all ages.
A City of York Council spokeswoman, said: "The decision to close the school will enable a full deep clean of the school buildings and equipment to be carried out."

A grant of £48,000 will be used to restore a pair of historic towers on the seafront at Withernsea.
The work to preserve the town's pier towers, is one of 25 projects being funded by the government's coastal revival fund.
Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry was in Withernsea to see the towers, which once stood at head of the town's pier.
He said: "This money is going to put them right back at the heart of community, ensure the buildings future for the next 100 years and open them up for public use during the summer months and the rest of the year as well."
A school in York has been closed because of what's thought to be an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug norovirus.
Copmanthorpe Primary School says the closure is a precautionary measure and it will remain closed until Wednesday.
