A man has been charged over the death of a woman in Bradford.
Sheila Small, 73, was found dead at an address on Raymond Drive in the early hours of Tuesday.
Edward Small, 75, was arrested at the scene and now remains in custody.
Police dog Bella recently lost her sight in one eye, so she was taken to a groomers as a festive howl-iday treat.
Bella, a 13-year-old spaniel, was involved in a freak incident while out on an exercise.
West Yorkshire Police took her to for a pamper session in a salon in Wakefield.

The suspect knocked on the victims' door on Lumley Road at about 16:30 on Tuesday.
He then sang Christmas carols, which lead the victim to open the door.
The man pushed the victim to the floor, where he suffered minor injuries.
The elderly couple were threatened and forced to hand over cash.
A white male, described as being 5ft 10in tall, shaved head and stocky build is wanted in connection with the incident.
He was wearing a grey hooded coat and jogging bottoms, with a dark-coloured scarf.

Her son has been excluded from school four times over the last year.

James Featon, 50, of Roughaw Road, Skipton pleaded guilty to three offences of causing unnecessary suffering to dogs.
RSPCA officers and North Yorkshire Police visited the farm in North Duffield, near Selby last year.
The dogs were taken to the vets for treatment, but four of them died.
RSPCA Inspector Alice Cooper, said: "Some of the puppies were in very poor condition with swollen, distended abdomens." Three Jack Russell terrier puppies had collapsed.
"Police seized all of the dogs and we rushed them to the vets where a number of the pups were diagnosed with parvovirus - a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease.
"They were all hospitalised and needed intensive veterinary treatment but, unfortunately, we lost four because they were so incredibly poorly."
Employees at Arriva Rail North are to strike on every Saturday in January, say the RMT union.
The strike follows the dispute over guards on trains.
L/Cpl Stephen Smith's medal was found in the River Loxley on 18 October by police divers.

A police marine unit discovered the historic award while carrying out operational duties in the River Loxley on 18 October.
It was then given to Clifton Park Museum, Rotherham, who traced it back to its owner.
The medal was awarded to L/Cpl Stephen Smith of 6th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment in WWI, who was from Sheffield.
He landed in Gallipoli, Turkey in July 1915 and died of wounds he suffered at Suvla Bay on 9 August 1915.
Stephen's closest living relative is his great nephew, Julian Cliff, who said he was "thrilled" to have the medal returned.
"At first I thought it was a hoax, but once things started to fall in to place I was so grateful that the team had decided to find us.
"They went beyond the call of duty and they have brought a family together."
Police have welcomed the jail sentences handed down to a mother and son following a murder in Hull.
Humberside Police said Mantas Pundzius, 24, and Janina Milieskiene, 42, had been convicted following a "difficult investigation".
Det Ch Insp Christine Calvert said 52-year-old Rolandas Poskus (pictured) was killed in a "vicious crime".
She said: "Rolandus Poskus endured a brutal beating at the hands of Pundzius before dying from his injuries.
“To add to this Mr Poskus suffered the ignominy after death of having his partly naked body dumped in a public place."
Poskus, of Boulevard, was jailed for life with a minimum of 19 years, after police "worked tirelessly to bring the pair to justice".
Milieskiene, of Arthur Street, who "shamelessly tried to cover their tracks", was convicted of assisting an offender and jailed for 30 months.

A man who died in a fatal collision in Halifax last week has been named.
Mohammed Kamran Ramzan, 36, was driving on Queensbury Road when his vehicle and a lorry crashed at about 01:00 on Friday.
Mr Ramzan, who was driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra, died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
The Mercedes HGV driver stopped at the scene, police say.
Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
