    The boy was stopped in Coal Aston, Derbyshire, driving a silver Toyota Corolla.

    It's thought the car was stolen during a burglary in South Yorkshire, police said.

    Five men remain in hospital after suffering burn injuries in a gas explosion in Batley last night.

    The incident happened at about 18:45 at a two-storey building on Hick Lane.

    Five men, aged between 35 and 39, were taken to hospital and are still being treated for burns.

    The blast is not being treated as either a gas explosion or as a terror-related incident, police have confirmed.

    Det Supt Pat Twiggs said: "Police and partner agencies have worked throughout the night to ensure the scene is safe and there is no safety risk to members of the public.

    "We will be continuing with our enquiries throughout today and would like to thank the local residents and public for their patience while we establish the full circumstances of the incident."

    A cordon remains in place in the area.

    North Yorkshire Police have released the photographs as they continue to investigate the suspected criminal damage which happened on Sunday 2 December.

    Anyone who recognises either of the men in the pictures is asked to get in touch with police.

    The A57 Snake Pass has been closed after a blockage on the road caused by wintry conditions.

    The road, which connects Sheffield and Manchester via Glossop, has been hit by the snow and ice as the picture above shows.

    Derbyshire County Council has confirmed the closure.

    Motorist Dale Rowley has said two vehicles had blocked the road near to the summit.

    Police have recovered a car in Hull as part of their investigation into the disappearance of student Libby Squire.

    The car was recovered on Raglan Street in the city and forms "just one part of our investigation", police say.

    A 24-year-old man from Hull who was arrested on suspicion of abduction at an address on Raglan Street last night remains in custody, police have confirmed.

    Det Supt Matt Hutchinson says the investigation into Ms Squire's disappearance is still being treated as a missing person’s enquiry.

    "I have said previously that we are keeping an open mind as to her whereabouts and that is still very much the case," says Det Supt Hutchinson.

    "Our number one priority is to find Libby Squire and we are still conducting extensive searches and appealing for any information from the public."

    Police have said the explosion in Batley, which injured five men, is not being treated as a terrorist incident.

    All five men are in hospital being treated for burn injuries.

    Emergency services and a bomb squad were called to Hick Lane at about 18:45 last night.

    The bomb squad was called in as a precautionary measure, say police.

    Det Supt Pat Twiggs said:“We will be continuing with our enquiries throughout today and would like to thank the local residents and public for their patience whilst we establish the full circumstances of the incident.

    "At this stage, we are not treating it as a terrorist incident.”

    Drivers are being told to avoid the area, as a cordon remains in place.

    An online fundraising appeal has been set up for the family of missing student Libby Squire after a 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case.

    The fundraising page was set up today for the family of the University of Hull student, who went missing after a night out last Thursday, and aims to raise £5,000.

    It says the money will go "to help them in this hard time" and could be put towards "hotels, bills or any support they need".

    A workman has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a 91-year-old pedestrian by driving without due care and attention.

    Barbara Weigert died after she was struck by a 26-tonne lorry driven by Richard Taylor, 47, while crossing Ringinglow Road, in Sheffield, on 4 December 2017.

    Sheffield Magistrates' Court heard Mr Taylor had been painting 20mph road markings in nearby Tullibardine Road shortly before the collision.

    Mr Taylor, of New Hey Road, Huddersfield, did not enter a plea during the hearing and was released on bail ahead of his next appearance at Sheffield Crown Court on 7 March.

    South Yorkshire Police says he has number of tattoos, including a bulldog and a tiger on his left arm, a bulldog and the letters "LUFC" on his right arm and a bulldog on his right leg.

    The force says it was called to the venue 51 times last year, up by more than a third on 2017.

    The man was arrested at an address on the street last night and is "assisting police with enquiries" into the University of Hull student's disappearance.

    The 21-year-old went missing after a night out last Thursday and Humberside Police say finding her is the force's "top priority".
