    Police issued the image of a man after fake £20 notes were used in Richmond, Catterick and Leyburn.

    CCTV from the Co-Op store in Richmond shows the man, described as being white and aged in his late 40s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, dark trousers and a grey baseball cap.

    Police are trying to locate him as he is wanted in connection to reported threats and harassment.

    The 25-year-old is also wanted for breach of court orders.

    He is from Barnsley, but police believe he may have travelled elsewhere.

    Officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information on his whereabouts.

    More than 70 calls about fly-tipping were made to Leeds City Council every day over the past two years, according to new figures.

    Statistics released by the authority, via the Datamill North website, show that more than 52,000 service requests were made to the authority regarding fly-tipping during 2017 and 2018.

    More than 15,000 of these calls, over a quarter, came from the Gipton and Harehills council ward.

    The council said it would seek prosecutions for those caught fly-tipping and called on members of the public to send in evidence where possible.

    Children have chosen the name Boring Betty for a tunnelling machine which is going to be put to work on a £22m flood defence project in East Yorkshire.

    Pupils from Hull Collegiate School, in Anlaby, which is near to the site of the work, were asked to suggest names for the machine.

    East Riding of Yorkshire Council say Boring Betty will be used for underground excavations as part of the scheme to slow down and control the flow of flood water.

    The are more than 1,600 unoccupied homes in Barnsley, according to the latest figures from the council.

    The council wants to put more than 300 homes, mostly privately owned, back into use.

    The council has issued a compulsory purchase order on four properties in the last year, but says this is always a last resort.

    A man suffered a fractured skull and broken ribs after he was hit on the head, possibly with a hammer, when he was robbed in the street near his home in Hull.

    His mobile phone and wallet, containing bank cards and cash, were stolen.

    Humberside Police is looking for two men, described as white and wearing dark clothing and hoodies, in connection with the incident which happened at about 03:00 on Saturday 16 February.

    Campaigners opposed to plans to put a road through Penny Pie Park in Barnsley say the fight isn't over despite the government refusing to grant a public inquiry into the scheme.

    The plan proposes a new junction on the public park between the town centre and the junction for the M1.

    The Save Penny Pie Park action group hadn't wanted the scheme to be approved by the town council, despite claims it could reduce traffic and improve air quality, and had hoped the government would intervene.

    The group is looking at possibly going to court to try and get a judicial review of the council-backed scheme.

    RAF Tornado fighter jets are due to fly over Yorkshire and Lincolnshire this afternoon as part of a farewell tour.

    The aircraft are being retired after returning to RAF Marham in Norfolk earlier this month.

    They will fly over eight RAF stations including Cranwell, Waddington and Leeming.

    A coffee cup-recycling scheme in Leeds, the first of its kind in the country, could be extended to other cities.

    The plastic-lined coffee cups are collected from recycling bins across the city and taken to be processed and recycled.

    Nearly 250,000 cups have been collected in Leeds since October.

    A charity involved in the scheme hopes other cities will follow.

    Anyone who attacks a member of the emergency service needs to be prosecuted, according to the trade union which represents ambulance workers.

    In the last nine months there have been 850 reports of physical and verbal attacks on staff at the Yorkshire Ambulance Service - double the number from six years ago.

    Last week an ambulance crew in Hull had to lock themselves in a house because they were threatened.

    Two robbers threatened a van driver with a crowbar and made off with a large amount of cash in South Yorkshire.

    The driver was targeted by two men at the Asda store on Thomas Street in Worsbrough, Barnsley, on 13 February.

    They fled the scene in a black Audi A4.

    Police are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident.

    Police want to find the man in in connection with the incident of criminal damage at the Admiral of the Humber pub on Anlaby Road.

    Plaster was damaged when the radiator was pulled off a wall at about 22:15 on Wednesday 13 February, according to police.

    Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds United have been fined £200,000 by the English Football League for watching opponents train before matches.

    A member of Leeds' staff was found acting suspiciously outside Derby's training ground before the fixture between the two sides on 10 January.

    Boss Marcelo Bielsa said he had sent a member of staff to watch every team they have played this season train.

    The EFL found Leeds breached rules over treating teams with "good faith".

    Leeds have also received a formal reprimand from the EFL, which is bringing in a rule to prohibit clubs from viewing their opposition training in the 72 hours preceding a game unless invited to do so.

    The EFL said in a statement that Leeds' conduct "fell significantly short of the standards expected" and it "must not be repeated".

    Leeds said in a statement: "We accept that whilst we have not broken any specific rule, we have fallen short of the standard expected by the EFL."

    Police have made three arrests after a cache of replica firearms was stolen from a property in Hull along with a Porsche which was later crashed.

    A neighbour interrupted the break-in, on Marlborough Avenue, and the imitation guns were dropped before later being recovered.

    A Porsche Macan was driven away from the scene, on Saturday 2 February at about 21.30, before being crashed into eight other cars on Ella Street, according to Humberside Police.

    An 18-year-old male from Hull has been charged with burglary and theft and possessing class A and class B drugs.

    A second teenager has been bailed while another man has been released without charge.
