Leeds Bradford AirportImage source, Leeds City Council

Three options are being considered for two new roads or improvements to the existing A65 and A658 junctions.

The proposals include new junctions and crossings.

Leeds City Council says better rail access instead of roads is not financially or geographically feasible.

However, a parkway station, for rail and park and ride, is now possible because of £173.5m government cash to invest in Leeds' transport, but would not provide a direct rail link to the airport

Link road proposals were first put forward in 2015, with three potential schemes - two of which see a new road created from the A65.
