    A woman who was jailed for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm is wanted on recall to prison after breaching her the terms of her licence.

    Katie Millicent Craig, 27, was jailed in March 2016 for and released on licence in March 2018.

    She was recalled to prison in November 2018 for breaching the terms of her licence and released on licence, a second time, in June 2019.

    Officers say she's now wanted on recall to prison for breaching those terms again.

    She is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

    It's believed she could be in the Seacroft or Potternewton area of Leeds.

    Police are urging members of the public to contact them if they see her.

    The body of Hull university student Libby Squire is to be released to her family, police have said.

    The 21-year-old disappeared after a night out on 1 February and her body was found in the Humber Estuary seven weeks later.

    Detectives said her parents had been informed and arrangements were being made for her to be returned to them.

    A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation.

    Early plans have been submitted which could result in almost 700 homes being built on disused land in a Doncaster suburb.

    Hundreds of homes have been earmarked on a site north of Ramsden Road and Flowitt Street in Hexthorpe.

    The full 20-hectare development includes 671 homes, a new drainage scheme, public open space areas and two points of access from Flowitt Street and Ramsden Road, to the south.

    The former Eden Grove Sports Ground located in the western portion of the site is designated as open space and Green Belt land.

    Ex-footballer Dean Saunders has left prison, a day after he was jailed for 10 weeks for refusing to provide a roadside breath test.

    The pundit and former Sheffield United and Bradford City striker, 55, was stopped by police on suspicion of drink-driving in Boughton, Chester, on 10 May.

    Saunders was granted unconditional bail pending an appeal against his sentence at Chester Crown Court on 4 October.

    His lawyers launched the application, which was held in private at Chester Magistrates' Court.

    Judge Steven Everett granted Saunders bail until the appeal, according to a clerk approached by the PA news agency after the hearing ended and the court reopened to the press and public.

    Saunders was also manager of Doncaster Rovers in 2011.

    A young York bricklayer has been showcasing his world-class work at the Skills Olympics.

    Lewis Greenwood, 21, was a member of Team UK at the WorldSkills event in Russia and won a medallion of excellence for his bricklaying.

    He works for Wetherby-based PDS Construction and trains at York College and is pictured above with his lecturer Mike Burdett.

    The award means he is working to a world-class standard.

    Overall, Team UK came back from the event with 19 medals, including two golds.

    Police say they are growing "increasingly concerned" about a teenager missing from Huddersfield for more than a week.

    Kamau McCallum-James, 18, was last seen at his home in Fartown just before midnight on 21 August.

    Officers say a number of searches are being conducted today to try and locate the teenager who is described as "vulnerable."

    He's described as black, 5ft 10”, of slim build, with short, black hair and brown eyes.

    Permanent bollards could be installed on streets in York to protect the city centre from terrorist attacks, if plans are approved by councillors today.

    A temporary scheme, which included restricted vehicle access to parts of the city centre, was put in place last November.

    The council had been given counter terrorism advice on ways to deal with the threat of "vehicle as weapon attacks."

    It plans to install bollards at the end of Parliament Street (pictured) “at the earliest opportunity”, and to implement “hostile vehicle mitigation measures” at the entrance to York racecourse.

    Councillor Andy D’Agorne said: “The safety of everyone in our city is the highest priority, so we have to act on police and counter-terrorist unit advice."

    Today senior councillors will be asked to make the restrictions permanent, with sliding bollards installed on a number of city centre streets, including Parliament Street, St Sampson’s Square, Spurriergate and Coney Street.

    More than 5,780 rapes were reported to police in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire last year, according to figures released today.

    The figures, obtained by the multi-agency Rape Monitoring Group, show more than 3,500 rapes were reported against females aged 16 and over, in 2017/18.

    They also show about 645 girls and 293 boys aged under 13-years-old reported being raped during the 12-month period to the end of March 2018.

    Across England and Wales overall number of rapes reported to police rose by almost 13,000 to 54,045.

    Wendy Williams, chair of the group, said: “Rape is one of the most serious crimes dealt with by the criminal justice system.

    "It's vital information and statistics about rape are made as transparent as possible, so that agencies can refine prevention strategies and give victims the justice they deserve.

    “We hope today’s data will help police, prosecutors, and the entire system, to improve their work to provide justice for victims."

    The slapstick children's programme introduced the world to Rotherham's Paul and Barry Chuckle and their famous catchphrase: "To me, to you".

    Over two decades, 21 series and nearly 300 episodes the brothers took on myriad jobs, tasks and adventures, until the show ended in 2009.

    In a poll of 3,000 conducted by Radio Times, ChuckleVision was named the greatest CBBC series of all time, followed by The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow.

    The result comes days after the CBBC rated ChuckleVision "mid" tier in a ranking of its own shows posted to Twitter before asking.

    The channel then asked "Did we get it right?" prompting Paul Chuckle to reply: "No actually you didn't in my opinion.. Chucklevision 294 episodes over 21 years."

    A hunt for half of a sealskin coat believed to have belonged to legendary Hull pilot Amy Johnson is under way.

    Amy became famous in 1930 when she became the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia.

    Her mother cut the coat, which Amy is thought to have worn to her divorce proceedings, into pieces and gave them to friends, so they could make collars and cuffs for their own clothes.

    The portion on display at Sewerby Hall and Gardens has been donated by a couple from Tadcaster in North Yorkshire, who were given it to make hats or muffs for the girls at the school they taught at.

    Dr. David Marchant, museums registrar with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said :“This is a very rare survival from her once varied and stylish wardrobe of outfits.

    “If anyone knows the whereabouts of the other half of this coat, the museum would love to hear from you, as it would be great to display the full object together.”

    Two teenage girls have been seriously sexually assaulted in York, say police.

    It happened in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

    It's unclear where the assaults happened, but police say they want to trace a woman who spoke to the two girls in the area of York Minster and McDonald's on Blake Street (pictured).

    Officers say one of the girls was very upset, which prompted the woman to ask about their welfare.

    They say the conversation would have taken place between 03:30 and 04:30.

    The North Yorkshire force says: "If you are that woman, or know who she is, please contact us."

    Lampposts that once adorned the streets of a North Yorkshire town are on sale in Northern Ireland.

    The Victorian posts were removed from Harrogate after the county council judged them to be structurally unsound.

    The council said it removed 280 of the cast-iron columns in 2015 and a further 350 in the following 18 months.

    They were acquired by a salvage firm and then by Ryan and Smith, an antique supplier based in Stewartstown, Northern Ireland.

    The Harrogate Gas Company installed the posts in the mid-1800s and decorative features include a Yorkshire rose, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
