A dozen Scarborough RNLI crew members have set off on a 145-mile relay dash from their lifeboat station to Blackpool.
The crew set off at 07:00 this morning and are hoping to complete the run - which takes in Helmsley, Sutton Bank, Thirsk, Harrogate, Blubberhouses and Clitheroe - in under 30 hours.
