School bus crash: 'We've lost everything' - shop ownerpublished at 09:52 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2020
The owners of a barber shop say they've "lost everything" after a school bus ploughed into their business this morning.
Up to 25 children were on board the single-decker bus when it crashed into Stay Fresh Barbers, in Handsworth Road, Sheffield, at about 07:45 this morning.
Co-owner Stacey Swift said: "[I'm] fuming. I don't understand how's it happened. Why our shop? We've been open just under a year, so we've lost everything.
"I've not seen all of the damage yet as they won't let me in. I can't believe it. I'm lost for words."
Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, but two children were taken to hospital, Yorkshire Ambulance Service has said.
Neville Clarke, who owns the business with Ms Swift, said: "It's luck that nobody was inside and nobody got injured."
