They've been placed on Sheaf Street, near Sheffield railway station, after cars were repeatedly seen blocking the footpath.
The concrete bollards have a sign on them which reads: "Temporary measure. Cracking down on selfish parking."
The council has brought the blockades in for three weeks until a traffic regulation order goes live when the council can then enforce a pavement parking ban.
A former monk at a Catholic boarding school who admitted sexually abusing three boys aged under 13 has been jailed for more than 20 years.
Peter Turner carried out the abuse between 1984 and 1990 at Ampleforth College, North Yorkshire, and a parish in Workington, Cumbria.
Turner, from Redcar, who was previously known as Father Gregory Carroll, was sentenced to 20 years and 10 months at York Crown Court
On Tuesday he admitted 14 charges including indecent assault, gross indecency and another serious sexual offence.
Members of the public are being asked to help find a man wanted by police in connection with a number of offences.
South Yorkshire Police want to speak to Kyle Fell (pictured), 28, in relation to offences said to have been committed in Rotherham between November 2019 and January 2020.
He is believed to frequent the Eastwood and East Dene area of Rotherham and is described as having shaved brown hair, with stubble or short facial hair.
Anyone who sees him is asked to contact the South Yorkshire force.
An 11-year-old boy from North Yorkshire has talked about what it's like to live with arthritis.
William, from Ripon, is one of 15,000 children in the UK who live with the condition.
His mum noticed symptoms when he was three, but he was not diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis until he was nine years old.
A national charity has said delays diagnosing and treating children with arthritis is leaving them in pain and at a higher risk of lifelong damage.
North Yorkshire boy William is one of 15,000 children in the UK who live with arthritis.

Christopher Cox, 44, of Pike Road, Brinsworth, Rotherham, was seen by police "dangerously overtaking" other vehicles just before 02:00 on 20 December, heading towards Rotherham.
During the chase Cox reached speeds of up to 90mph in residential areas, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Traffic Officer PC Wes Turner said: “During the pursuit, Cox stopped his car twice and reversed into my unmarked police car, causing significant damage."
When arrested police say a search of Cox's car uncovered drugs, cash and weapons.
On Monday, he appeared at Sheffield Crown Court where he was sentenced for dangerous driving and two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
Cox was sentenced to four years in prison and disqualified from driving for five years.
PC Turner said: “Cox’s actions and determination to not be caught by officers could have had a very different outcome and put members of our community in danger."
Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a man who has gone missing while wearing a t-shirt with his name on it.
David McGourlay, 59, from the Strensall area of York, was last seen yesterday morning.
He's thought to be wearing a black polo t-shirt with "DAVID MCGOURLAY LOCKSMITH" printed on it in gold.
Mr McGourlay is also believed to be wearing black cargo trousers, a black padded coat and black trainers.
Officers say he has a tattoo of a dragon on his right leg and a tribal tattoo on his arm.
It's also thought he might be driving his gold-coloured Ford B-Max car, registration number J5 XNX.
Anyone who sees him is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
Receding flood water in West Yorkshire has left some fish stranded on river banks.
These perch were found in a puddle (pictured below), high up on the banks of the River Wharfe in Boston Spa this morning, by dog walker Julia Rushworth.
Ms Rushworth says: "There were eight of them in total flapping about and struggling to breathe.
"It felt really good to put them back where they belong."
Eight students from Sheffield Hallam University and a member of staff have been robbed while on a placement in South Africa.
The group were travelling in a minibus when they were confronted by armed thieves on Monday in Port Elizabeth.
They flew into Cape Town on 2 February for a four-week teaching placement.
The university said arrangements were being made for the group - 12 students and the member of staff - to return to the UK.
One of the students said the armed raiders made off with jewellery, a phone and a bag.
Three students have already returned home and six are due to fly back to London on Thursday.
The university said the remaining students needed their passports to be replaced before they could leave.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has been asked to comment.

Tadcaster Albion's ground on the banks of the River Wharfe was flooded after Storm Ciara brought heavy rain to the region at the weekend.
A statement on the club's website says that on Monday the pitch was under about a metre of water.
The side, who play in the North West division of the Northern premiere League, are next due to play at the ground on 7 March.
A spokesperson said; "Until the levels dramatically reduce it is not possible to know the extent of the damage to the playing surface, the clubhouse, changing rooms and the floodlights.
"Over the next few days we will be sharing a fundraising page to help with the costs to repair the damage caused by the storm and will confirm when our clean-up operations will take place.
"Any help will be appreciated."
Yesterday, Sport England said it would be offering emergency £5,000 grants to help repair sports facilities damaged by Storm Ciara.
Home Secretary Priti Patel is set to meet with Hull North MP Diana Johnson to discuss airgun regulations following the death of a six-year-old boy.
Dame Diana wrote to the Ms Patel, following the death of Stanley Metcalf, from Sproatley, two years ago and, yesterday, she agreed to meet to discuss the issue.
Stanley was shot by his great-grandfather Albert Grannon with an unlicensed air rifle.
Grannon admitted possessing an air rifle without holding a firearms certificate, along with the charge of manslaughter by gross negligence.
Stanley's mother Jenny has been campaigning for tighter gun controls.
She says: "Not many people know the laws behind them, they don't know what licence they need for their air rifle and don't understand the dangers behind them."

The government and other agencies must "pick up the pace" over flood defences in the Calder Valley, the Environment Secretary has said as she visited areas badly hit by flooding as a result of Storm Ciara.
About 100mm of rain fell in a 12-18-hour period at the weekend, leading to "raging torrents" in several locations in the Calder Valley, the Environment Agency estimates.
About 500 households and 600 business were left flooded throughout Calderdale, with "widespread damage" to roads and infrastructure, the council said.
During her visit to Mytholmroyd (pictured at the height of the recent flooding) and Hebden Bridge this morning, Theresa Villiers said the government "has listened" following previous flooding, and was already investing £74m in flood defence measures in the Calder Valley.
But Ms Villiers said she was "pressing" the Environment Agency to get work on the scheme in Mytholmroyd completed and to make sure schemes in Hebden Bridge and Brighouse get under way.
She said: "There are many thousands of homes that have been better protected as a result of flood defences that have already been built, but we need to get these new projects delivered to keep people safer.
"We are delivering it. We need to pick up the pace," she added.
A man's been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man had to be taken to hospital suffering from knife wounds in Bridlington this morning.
Officers were called to two premises on Landsdowne Road and the Promenade in the early hours after reports of a serious assault.
There is "no risk" to the wider public and police say they believe it was an "isolated incident".
Forensic examinations are continuing at the scene, officers say.
