Damage "consistent with gunshots" was caused to the vehicle on Halcyon Way at about 21:45 last night, according to West Yorkshire Police.
There are no reports of anyone being injured in the incident.
A car used by the suspects was later found burnt out, officers said.
Det Ch Insp Sharron Kaye said: “We do believe this was a targeted incident.
“High visibility patrols have been deployed into the area today and over the weekend to provide reassurance to the local community."
Anyone who witnessed "anything suspicious" in the area last night is being urged to contact police.
