    A motorcyclist is in a "life-threatening condition" in hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Hull on Saturday, say police.

    A grey BMW, blue Hyundai and white Suzuki motorbike collided on Hedon Road, Hull just after 18:30 on Saturday, according to Humberside Police.

    The two drivers of the cars were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, police said.

    They've since been released while an investigation into the incident takes place.

    Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact police.

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 35-year-old man was stabbed in a Sheffield street.

    Police said they were called to the incident near the Markazi Jamia Mosque on Industry Road at 15:30 GMT on Sunday.

    The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries in what police are describing as a targeted attack which is "thought to be part of an ongoing dispute".

    The force added: "This is not believed to be a hate incident."

    A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.

    In a post on its Facebook page, the mosque said the victim had no connection with it and had gone into the building seeking help for his injuries.

    An appeal for witnesses has been launched by police after two men died when a vehicle went into a river close to a shopping centre in Sheffield.

    South Yorkshire Police said it received reports the vehicle had entered the River Don off Meadowhall Way in Sheffield at 19:10 on Saturday.

    Two men, aged 20 and 24, were taken to the Northern General Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

    Family members have been informed and Meadowhall Way was closed for some time as a result.

    Det Ch Insp James Axe, said: “This is a tragic incident where sadly two people have lost their lives.

    "We're keen to hear from anybody with dash cam footage of the collision, as well as any motorists or witnesses who were travelling in the area at about 19:00 and may have seen the vehicle prior to the incident.”

    There will be fewer train services in some parts of Yorkshire from this morning.

    TransPennine Express is introducing a temporary revised timetable, external "until further notice" following a fall in demand due to the coronavirus lockdown.

    From today trains between York and Scarborough will run once every two hours.

    There will be three trains an hour between Leeds and Manchester, that's down from six.

    In a statement on social media the company is asking passengers to "please remember to wear a face covering when on the train and at stations.

    "Some people may be exempt, so please be kind and considerate of others."

    Captain Sir Tom Moore has been admitted to hospital with coronavirus, his daughter has said.

    The 100-year-old who raised almost £33m for the NHS was taken to Bedford Hospital after requiring help with his breathing, Hannah Ingram-Moore said on Twitter, external.

    She said he had been treated for pneumonia over the past few weeks and last week tested positive for Covid-19. Mrs Ingram-Moore said her father was not in intensive care.

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted, external: "You've inspired the whole nation, and I know we are all wishing you a full recovery."

    The Army veteran, originally from Keighley in West Yorkshire, came to prominence by walking 100 laps of his garden in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, before his 100th birthday during the first national lockdown.

    He was knighted by the Queen in July.

    In Mrs Ingram-Moore's tweet, she said her father had been at home with the family until Sunday when he "needed additional help with breathing".

    She said the medical care he had received in the past few weeks had been "remarkable".
