South Yorkshire's Mayor has branded the Prime Minister "unfit for office" following a report into allegations of gatherings in No 10 during Covid lockdowns.
Senior civil servant Sue Gray investigated 16 gatherings, 12 of which are subject to a Met Police investigation.
Her report found "some of the behaviours surrounding these gatherings is difficult to justify" and said there were "failures of leadership and judgement" in No 10.
Dan Jarvis (pictured below), Mayor of South Yorkshire and Labour MP for Barnsley Central, said: "Sue Gray’s report reveals a failure of leadership and judgment at the highest level of government."
He added: "It's a damning indictment of Boris Johnson who has continually proven himself to be fundamentally unfit for the office he holds."
An updated report on lockdown parties in No 10 will be published by Sue Gray once police finish their inquiries, Downing Street has said.
Boris Johnson met Tory MPs on Monday to reassure them and promise a shake-up of how No 10 is run.

The man was found at a property in Park Road, Spalding, at about 09:10 on Monday morning, according to Lincolnshire Police.
A 38-year-old man who was present in the property was arrested in relation to the other man's death and he has been released on bail while inquiries continue, officers say.
A cordon remains in place and investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the man's death.
Anyone with information which could help police is being asked to contact the Lincolnshire force.

Read MoreThe possible scrapping of compulsory Covid vaccinations for front-line NHS staff has caused "chaos", a Yorkshire Union leader has said.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid told MPs ending the compulsory vaccination policy was now under consultation in light of the fast-spreading Omicron variant.
The policy, announced last year, meant front-line NHS workers in England would have to be fully vaccinated by 1 April, needing a first jab by this Thursday.
But Mr Javid told the Health and Social Care Select Committee last week that it was right to "reflect" on the policy now Omicron was dominant.
However, it is understood no final decisions have been made.
Staff had faced redeployment or dismissal, prompting protests against the policy and some NHS workers considering moves to other UK nations.
Natalie Ratcliffe, Unison's Yorkshire and Humberside regional organiser, said: "Trusts are struggling with staffing and struggling with the fact they may have to dismiss people.
"This jab exodus is of the government's making and these rules have caused absolute chaos."
She added: "As a union we are encouraging people to have the vaccination, but it should be a personal choice."
The Department of Health and Social Care has previously insisted the policy was "the right thing to do to protect patients".
London elites "haven't really understood all of the problems" faced by people in towns such as Grimsby and Cleethorpes, says Michael Gove.

Boris Johnson "isn't out of the woods yet, by any means" - but everyone is innocent until proven guilty, a North Yorkshire Conservative MP has said.
Kevin Hollinrake, the MP for Thirsk and Malton, told BBC Radio York: "At this point in time it is pretty limited in terms of what he [Boris Johnson] was involved in.
"Going into his own garden and attending the cutting of his birthday cake, I don't think that's something that the Prime Minster, particularly at this point in time, should have to resign for."
On Monday, Mr Johnson was accused by the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer of being focused on "saving his own skin" rather than key issues, after findings into No 10 lockdown parties were published.
The update, delivered by senior civil servant Sue Gray, blamed a "failure of leadership" for rule-breaking in Downing Street.
A number of MPs have said they are waiting for Ms Gray's full report to decide on the fate of the PM's leadership.
