Winds of up to 80mph are expected across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire with an amber wind warning - meaning people should "be prepared" to take action - affecting Lincolnshire and parts of South Yorkshire until 21:00 tonight

Roads, bridges and railway lines are likely to close, with delays and cancellations to services, it adds.

A yellow weather warning for wind is also in place for most of the north of England.

This has led to warnings of disruption for commuters, with some rail companies telling people to stay at home.
