Leicester's Diwali celebrations on Sunday have been moved because of a waterlogged festival site.
The celebrations were due to take place at the Cossington Street Recreation Ground but organisers said "the amount of mud and standing water on the site" has forced them to relocate.
The celebrations will now take place on Belgrave Road, near Belgrave Circle.
The Diwali funfair has been cancelled due to lack of space.
Deputy mayor, Priara Singh Clais, said: "It isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly but working with the police, security and festival organisers we’ve agreed to move the main stage back on to Belgrave Road."

A man has received a suspended jail sentence and been banned from keeping dogs for five years after pleading guilty to badger baiting.
Ryan Smith, 25, from Gainsborough, was one of three men spotted interfering with a badger sett by a gamekeeper on land near Beckingham, Nottinghamshire, in April.
The two other men were arrested near to the scene but Smith was detained elsewhere.
Officers found a hole had been built into the sett and recovered a spade, net and two dogs - one of which had suffered severe facial wounds and collapsed due to exhaustion.
No dead badger was found but an RSPCA expert said it was possible one had died in the sett. The dogs are both "doing well" and are due to be rehomed by the charity.
Smith pleaded guilty to interfering with a badger sett and attempting to kill a badger and received an 18-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months.
The other two men, also from Gainsborough, have already received suspended sentences after pleading guilty to the same offences.

Nottingham City Council has agreed to loan more than £9m to Robin Hood Energy so the supplier can settle a debt with regulator Ofgem.
The company, which is owned by the council, had been threatened with having its license to supply energy revoked if it didn't come up with the money by the end of this month.
The energy firm, whose customers include Jeremy Corbyn, does not create its own electricity and has to pay subsidies to fund green initiatives.
The firm already owes the city council millions of pounds and had hoped to spread the repayments to Ofgem ahead of anticipated high demand this winter.
Yesterday senior councillors said Robin Hood Energy would have to repay the loan with interest by the end of this financial year.
