Two walkers were given a surprise when a Lancaster bomber roared past them four times in Derbyshire.
Graham Whitehouse said he was walking by Ladybower Reservoir with his wife on Monday afternoon when he heard the sound of "big engines coming our way".
"We looked round and saw the Lancaster flying over - we were stunned," he said.
"Luckily they went round to have another pass - the next time we were in a better position and had the phone ready for video."
A spokeswoman for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight said the flight was a "training navigation exercise" which was also being filmed for a documentary, due for release next year.

The RSPCA has appealed for information after a seven-week-old kitten with a "badly" broken back leg was left on a doorstep inside a gift bag.
Andy Sowden went to collect the kitten - named Drew - after she was dumped on Friday in Chesterfield.
He said a woman had heard a loud knock on her door and found the silver taped-up bag containing Drew, who was inside a pillow bag.
The kitten, who was limping, was taken to the RSPCA's Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch where she'll stay until she is old and strong enough for her leg to be amputated.
Branch manager Rachel Gray said she expects the kitten was dumped because of the expensive treatment needed for her leg, but she's otherwise in a "good condition and is a happy, sweet kitten".
She said: "When she's recovered from her operation, we'll be looking to find her a loving new home. However, Drew isn't yet available so we won't be accepting applications."
She asked people not to contact the centre about Drew but their website and social media will be updated when Drew is ready for rehoming.
Anyone with information about who may have abandoned the kitten should contact the RSPCA's appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
