A teenager has been arrested after a man was attacked while queuing for a taxi.
Nottinghamshire Police said the victim, who is in his 20s, was struck in the face, causing him to fall to the floor and hit his head, in Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, in the early hours of 27 July.
The man is now deaf in one ear and suffers from vertigo as a result of the assault.
The force said an 18-year-old man was detained this morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
