    A Lincolnshire woman who appealed for mourners to attend the funeral an ex-solider next week says she's been overwhelmed by the response. Robert Neale from Belchford died at the age of 88 with no known relatives.

    Delays in securing funds have put building works for the IBCC behind schedule. 

    This means the opening, which was scheduled for September, will now be put back to next year.

    In a statement on their facebook , externalpage Director Nicky Barr said construction teams will be working flat out to get the building works done as soon as possible, with the aim to open the doors mid-December.

    The formal opening ceremony will now be a year today on Thursday 12 April 2018.

  4. Falcons return to Louth landmark to nest for third year runningpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 12 April 2017

    Peregrine Falcons nesting at the top of a Lincolnshire church are currently looking after four eggs. St James Church in Louth has been home to a pair of the birds for the last few years. 

    The Reverend Nick Brown's the Rector of the Church. He's keeping his fingers crossed - they'll see four new chicks later in the year.

    North Lincolnshire health bosses have been updating councillors a month after people were left waiting for medical attention because of an error with their referral system. 

    More than a hundred people were affected after paperwork from doctors, dentists and opticians went missing. 

    Today Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals Trust met the local Health Scrutiny Committee.

    Over the last few weeks around 20 trees have been cut down in mysterious circumstances at the Sir Joseph Banks Country Park, near Boston. 

    All of them had been planted by the Boston Woods Trust since the millennium, including an oak that had been expected to live for 600 years. 

    The trust is appealing for help to find out what happened.

    Since the Lincoln park and ride began in February the numbers using the service have grown to 500 people a week. 

    It was set up to help ease congestion during the work on the new transport hub.

    Last night they beat Chester 1-0 at Sincil Bank, with Harry Anderson scoring the decisive goal in the first half for the imps.

    There'll be a review today of North East Lincolnshire Council's decision to sell three tourist attractions in Cleethorpes.

    The scrutiny panel will look at the decision last month to offload the Discovery Centre, the paddling pool and the Meridian Showground. 

    The Meridian Showground has hosted  concerts and annual events like Grimsby Pride and the Race For Life.

    Lincs Inspire are the preferred organisation to take control of the venues.

    Vandals have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to a Lincolnshire church. 

    The congregation at St Mary's in Hogsthorpe near Skegness has been left devastated following the attack on the building last week.

    Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to the woods near Gainsborough early yesterday evening. The crews have been damping down the large fire. The area affected was the size of around 20 football pitches.
