    The body of a man has been recovered from the River Welland in Spalding.

    The police were called to the London Road area at around 10:45 this morning.

    They're treating the death as unexplained - and are appealing for information.

    A man in his 20s has died following a crash involving a van and a car on the A52 at Chapel St Leonards.

    It happened just before 08:10 this morning.

    The man was driving a BMW car and died at the scene- his family has been informed.

    The driver of the van was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital with minor injuries.

    Road closures are currently staying in place while emergency services carry on their enquiries.

    More than 200 soil samples from a Lincolnshire woodland are being analysed for traces of deadly mustard gas.

    Specialists from the Ministry of Defence have been working at Roughton near Woodhall Spa where canisters were found last month.

    Between two and three tonnes of soil have been removed.

    They'll deliver Christmas cards in and around the town.

    A teenager who died in a two-car crash on the A52 Bottesford bypass has been named as Max Hubbard from Grantham, Lincolnshire.

    The crash happened on Sunday at about 17:40. The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

    A woman was seriously injured and was taken to hospital in Nottingham. Leicestershire Police said she remained in a "stable condition".

    Police in Lincoln are investigating a number of reports of indecent exposure involving a boy.

    Officers say several women have been approached by a schoolboy riding a bike in the Birchwood area.

    An appeal has been made for information about the identity of the boy.

    A number of toiletry items were stolen from the shop on Mercer Row shortly before 14:00 yesterday.

    Anyone who knows the identity of the woman is being asked to call PC Rachel Dobson on 101, quoting incident number 236 of 28 November.

    We could be seeing a new structure marking Lincolnshire's role during World War Two.

    Proposals have been submitted for a replica of a Lancaster Bomber to be put near the A46.

    The structure will represent a World War Two aircraft flying to RAF Swinderby.

    It will be 26m long with a 31.09m wingspan.

    A new centre to train people how to make a perfect cup of coffee is due to open in Lincoln in the next few weeks.

    Stokes Tea and Coffee has recently moved a bean roasting operation to the Lawn Complex.

    Preparations are being made to expand the barista training.

    Bosses at BAE Systems have told MPs they are hopeful the company's factory in Brough will play a future role in manufacturing Hawk jets for the Red Arrows.

    The company announced last month it was planning to shed 400 jobs at the plant in East Yorkshire.

    The government says the Red Arrows fleet is not due to be replaced until 2030.

    There is criticism in the North Lincolnshire village of South Ferriby about the steps the Environment Agency has taken to protect the area from flooding.

    Concrete blocks have been installed to form a barrier to reduce the risks.

    But critics say the measures are unsightly and cause disruption.

    The village was badly hit in the tidal surge in 2013.

    The Environment Agency says the concrete blocks are a temporary measure and it is aware of residents' concerns.

    Police are working to identify more possible victims of financial abuse after harrowing details of cases in Lincolnshire were revealed.

    Many had mental health problems and were subjected to years of abuse in which they were forced to hand over money, threatened and abused.

    A report concluded that the exploitation continued, even though the victims were known to various authorities.

    Lincolnshire Police has apologised to victims and admitted it did not act fast enough in some cases.

    More than 40 new jobs are expected to be created by the redevelopment of the site of the former Sun Inn in Gainsborough.

    The plans include a new hotel, restaurant and water feature.

    Dransfield Properties and West Lindsey District Council are working in partnership to transform the Market Street, Market Place, Church Street and North Street area of the town.
