RNLI issues safety advice ahead of Easter breakpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 27 March 2018
Visitors to the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coast are being urged to take extra care over the Easter holidays.
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is advising people to respect the water and and remember sea temperatures are still very cold.
Advice includes checking weather and tide conditions and carrying a means for calling for help should something go wrong.
The organisation is also warning that lifeguard season begins later in the spring and that beaches currently aren't manned.
RNLI lifesavers assisted 154 people in Yorkshire and 104 people in Lincolnshire last year.
