    SeafoodImage source, Reuters

Young's Seafood says it's "disappointed" to have lost the contract, but the supermarket "remains an important customer".

Young's adds that it has recently won contracts with other retailers.

Asda has told the BBC that Young's "continues to be a significant partner" for the company.

    Quote Message

The UK seafood sector is going through a very difficult time with high cost inflation after Brexit and the currency situation. Retailers are under pressure and it's causing this reshuffle in contracts and it may take quite a while to settle down over who supplies who in the future."

  10. MP urges minister to listen over 'safe standing'published at 14:19 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

The Labour MP for Scunthorpe has urged the Sports Minister Tracey Crouch to listen to the town's football fans over "safe standing" at grounds.

Seats in stand next to safe standing seat

At present, stadiums in the top two divisions are "all-seater" as a result of safety concerns following the Hillsborough disaster.

But supporters groups are pressing for what's called "safe standing" to be introduced in "rail seats" which can be locked in an upright position (pictured).

The Sports Minister says the government will make a decision "in due course" whether to allow some football fans to stand at Premier League and Championship games.

    Quote Message

I hope that she will be able to fully involve supporters groups like Scunthorpe United's Iron Trust when coming to her deliberations."
