    Earlier this week we told you about the new £2m national marine observatory set to open tomorrow on the Lincolnshire coast - well it isn't now.

    Apparently things haven't quite gone to plan and the county council says they've had to delay the opening because of "some snagging" works.

    It's not known exactly when the attraction at Chapel St Leonards will be ready, but the council says they'll announce a new date soon.

    Imps fans can now see who their heroes will be facing and when next season.

    Lincoln City's first game will be away at Northampton Town on August 4.

    The season ends on May 4 at home to Colchester United.

    The Imps' Boxing Day match will be away at Crewe Alexandra.

  4. Children injured in minibus crashpublished at 08:53 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    A minibus carrying 17 people, including seven children, crashed in Lincolnshire last night.

    It happened just before 21.00 near Alford.

    The police say the minibus crashed into a garden by the A1028 at Ulceby.

    The children on board ranged in age from 14 months to nine.

    Several of those on board were taken to hospital for treatment, although none of the injuries are reported to be serious.

    An investigation has now begun into why the minibus crashed - it had been hired in the Middlesborough area.

    Steps are being taken to improve air quality in Scunthorpe after the town was named the most polluted in the UK.

    North Lincolnshire Council says it's working with the town's big employers to reduce industrial pollution.

    As part of Clean Air Day it's also asking residents to help cut emissions from their cars and homes.

    A Lincolnshire woman who's thought to have died while trying to rescue her dog from water has been named by police.

    The body of 35-year-old Seonaid Patel, from Moulton Seas End, was found after an extensive search at the Moulton Marsh Nature Reserve on 13 June.

    Her dog was later found safe and well.

    An inquest into her death has been opened and adjourned.

    Organised gangs are an increasing threat to farmers, according to the Deputy President of the National Farmers Union.

    But he praised the efforts of Lincolnshire Police in tackling hare coursing.

    There's been an arrest in Scunthorpe after a video appeared online showing a fight between a man and security guards at a shop.

    A number of people witnessed the incident at about noon yesterday on the High Street outside Primark.

    Police say it was an isolated incident and local community policing teams are in the town centre to reassure the public.

    The company says it's taking the issue very seriously and is working with its security contractors to investigate what happened.

    Officers are appealing for information and have asked the person who filmed the incident to come forward.
