    The force said while most fans haven't caused any problems, there were some instances of disorder and disruption after England's last games.

    The first of three major roadworks projects is expected to start in Grantham later this month.

    Highways teams are going to be rebuilding the Wharf Road junction and sections of Avenue Road and Stonebridge Road.

    Plans are also in place to install new traffic lights on London Road as well.

    A Lincolnshire MP has given his backing to Theresa May and her plan for Brexit on social media.

    The Conservative MP for Grantham and Stamford and Remain supporter Nick Boles said the 'overwhelming majority' of Conservative MPs support the Prime Minister's Brexit plan.

    He said that - while he believed the vote to leave the EU was mistaken - he voted for Article 50 out of respect for democracy.

    Experts from the University of Lincoln have been investigating what colour Big Ben was originally painted.

    Renovation work to the iconic London landmark has been under way since the beginning of the year.

    The University of Lincoln hope that will help them identify what colour paint was used when it was built more than 150 years ago.

    A North Lincolnshire councillor, with responsibility for greener and cleaner spaces, has promised tough action on those who fail to clean up after their dog.

    Councillor Ralph Ogg wants to see communities get involved and report anything they see, so the council can take action.

    Removing litter, dumped rubbish and dog fouling costs the council £1m annually.

    Councillor Ogg says he's considering increasing the cost of on-the-spot fines for those failing to clean up after their dog.

    Users of hand car washes are being urged to report their suspicions about workers who are being exploited.

    The forecourt services are being investigated by a Parliamentary committee amid claims some workers are victims of "modern slavery" and trafficking.

    The Home Office Minister - and Conservation MP for Louth and Horncastle - Victoria Atkins says members of the public are helping the authorities tackle the issue.

    She says of the 1328 modern slavery operations since December 2016 86 involved labour exploitation at car washes.

    Police are trying to find a man with two distinctive tattoos who verbally abused and physically threatened a woman in Cleethorpes.

    It happened on Brereton Avenue around 18:15 on 2 July 2018.

    The woman was walking along the road when a man, holding what was thought to be a broken bottle, verbally abused and threatened her then chased her along the road.

    The suspect has been described as white, in his late 40s to 50s, around 5 feet 9, bald and spoke with a local accent.

    He was wearing a light blue tracksuit zipped down to the waist.

    He also had two distinctive tattoos a wave pattern on the left side of his head and a green tattoo on his right ankle.

    Humberside Police are asking for witnesses to come forward, after a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, as he walked around Scunthorpe

    The incident happened on 9 July as he walked along Digby Street, Spencer Avenue, Theodore Road, and then Henderson Avenue at around 16:30.

    It’s alleged he threatened a group of youths with some kind of bladed weapon before he was arrested.

    No one has been hurt.

    The suspect has been released under investigation.
