    Investigators looking into the cause of a fire at a chip shop in Skegness say it was caused by an electrical fault with a fridge.

    A cyclist has been injured following a collision with a car near Sleaford.

    Emergency services were called to the A607 at Leadenham near Troops garage at about 17:30 yesterday.

    The cyclist was seriously injured and taken to Queen's Medical Centre at Nottingham.

    Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw either a black BMW car or the cyclist in the area at the time.

    A member of a "county lines" gang who fled Hull Crown Court before being sentenced has been jailed for dealing drugs.

    County lines is the name given to drug dealers expanding their activities into smaller towns and rural areas.

    Billy Griffin, 28, was one of eight people, mostly from Manchester, who admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin at a hearing last month.

    Griffin's sentencing in Hull was delayed after he and his sister Lauren Griffin absconded from Crown Court in the city.

    The pair were later arrested in the Greater Manchester area.

    Griffin was jailed for four years and 10 months.

    His sister will be sentenced on Tuesday.

    The rest of the gang were jailed on 17 December - their sentences ranged from two years and four months, to nine years and nine months imprisonment.

    The court heard the gang, from Manchester and one from Louth, Lincolnshire, ran the drugs plot from various addresses across Grimsby between October 2015 and October 2016.

    An appeal has been made to try and find the relatives of a former policeman who died last month.

    Ian Thomas Stevenson, 76, was originally from Paisley in Scotland and is thought to have spent time in Germany with the armed forces.

    He served with the police in Hull and Epworth before he retired.

    He died at Scunthorpe General Hospital on 1 December.

    Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is now trying to trace his next of kin.

    Police are appealing for help to locate three people who may be able to assist with an investigation of fraud.

    A stolen bank card was used at a number of stores in Skegness, including Boots and Poundland, to buy items on November 16.

    Officers believe the man and two women in the images may be able to help with their investigation.

    Three men have been arrested in relation to Christmas presents being reported stolen in Lincolnshire.

    The men aged 35, 30 and 24, from the Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire areas, were arrested on Thursday in connection with a burglary in North Thoresby.

    It happened on December 20th.

    A man from Welton near Lincoln has set up a sepsis support group eight years after nearly dying from the condition.

    Phil Crow's mental health suffered after he recovered from the infection, which he contracted after a routine operation to remove gall stones at Lincoln County Hospital.

    Sepsis which is also known as blood poisoning is a serious complication of an infection and affects 250,000 people in the UK every year.

    A Lincolnshire Magistrate has been reprimanded for telling a former friend "wait until you are in front of me".

    Officials at the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said Stanley Mallows has been issued with a formal warning following an investigation.

    A JCIO spokesman said Mr Mallows, had "referred to his judicial status in a way that was intended to be threatening" during a telephone conversation.

    They found that Mr Mallows had made the remark in the "heat of the moment", and concluded he had "misused his judicial status".

    Last year they made 765 arrests and seized seventy vehicles in the county.
